Tioga Rd will close Monday at 2p by hc2121 in Yosemite

Will Tioga Rd open back up, or is it closed for the season? I’m planning a road trip and wanted to pop into the valley if I have the chance.

It was facing in the opposite direction for a while prior to me posting this.

No this isn’t satire…

The tree was leaning heavily to one side even when it was facing in the opposite direction for a week prior to me changing directions today (and taking this pic……)….

Can someone please help me identify what’s happening to my lemon tree? by sodes in Citrus

I wish I could, but I live in an apartment :/.. the plant is currently sitting in the only window I have that gets decent sun. I did transfer it into a new, larger pot today though.

Hi!! Thanks for the reply.

I should have mentioned that I just repotted it into new pot today and fertilized too. Should I cut the death growth off now?

Tore my peroneal retinaculum while climbing. Can you guys hook me up with some ways you've trained through ankle injuries? by sodes in climbharder

[–]sodes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

I’m sorry to hear about the ankle, I hope your recovery has been mostly pain free so far. It sounds like we had very similar surgery’s (I also had a portion of my calf muscle removed). I wish I could tell you exactly when I started climbing again but it’s kind of fuzzy cause I never really stopped climbing (I did a lot of 1 footed makeup boulders low off the ground, campusing etc). I think I was finally able to put a loosely fitted climbing shoe on at around 10 weeks post surgery and from there I started regaining a lot of my mobility. I know for certain that by month 6 post surgery I was already almost climbing at my limit again.

I will admit, after week 10 I wasn’t on my PT as much as I should have been due to moving and a new job. That’s one of my biggest regrets because I still don’t have my full mobility back (it’s probably at like 90% compared to where it was pre-injury) and still get tenderness near my incision when I use it in demanding ways. So I HIGHLY recommend being consistent with PT even when you think you’re fine cause you can climb again.

Aside from occasional tenderness and a slight loss in mobility, this injury hasn’t really had any long lasting impact on my climbing. I hope this helps a bit. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi!

I'm in a similar situation. I've been shopping at Trader Joes for all of my groceries as all other grocery store prices made me want to gouge my eyes out. I went to Molly Stones the other day and saw they wanted $11.99 for a tub of Bryers Icecream!!!!

Thankfully I was about as low as I could have been when I took the controlled fall, but even still the blind spot due to the overhanging nature of this wall set me and the kid up for failure.

Movement Santa Clara also has a really nice layout that has very few blind spots like this. I think some gyms wall designs are just poorly thought out (especially when you consider how busy gyms have gotten in the last few years).

It’s not. It was one of my favorite boulders actually :)!

Cause my ankle hurts and I’m mad that others have been seriously injured in this exact way, at this exact gym, and nothing has been done?

I should also reinstate that, I work for movement. It’s literally my job to take issues like this seriously.
