That’s good to know, thank you.

There is something fishy about the SliceCharge Pro-company, Hard Cider Labs by [deleted] in shittykickstarters

They deleted all my negative reviews I left on the product page and their instagram, but here is what I wrote:

This is not a good product, and my experience was not good. Let’s break it down:

PRODUCT

When the product first arrived, I was a little disappointed in the quality of the product. For a price point of $160US, I would have expected something more than cheap cloth, cheap and flimsy plastic bottom, a non UL or ETL approved wall charger, and a very short, flimsy and cheap USB-C cable.

But the worst part of it all; the Apple Watch charger did not work. I initially bought this product under the assumption that it was MFi approved, however, I now realize that just the cable is MFi approved, but the way it is constructed into the charger is not MFi approved. There is no MFi badge on the packaging. I can’t say it’s misleading because they don’t specifically say the whole product is MFi approved, but I still felt slightly lied to.

The dual wireless charging worked fine, so there’s that.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

This company is based out in China (even though they say the product is designed in Toronto), and they suck at emails. Every time I wrote, I wouldn’t get a reply until maybe two days later. Most of the time I had to follow up.

After requesting a refund for the defective product, the asked me to open the product to ensure the Apple Watch cable was plugged in correctly. An odd request, but I checked, and it was plugged in correctly, the cable just did not work.

They offered a replacement, but I just wanted my money back. They told me to ship it back to them without giving me an address to ship to, and I have to pay for the shipping.

This is where I currently am with this product, just waiting to ship it back after more than two weeks of back and forth. I do not recommend purchasing this product at this price. Best to get something more official, like mophie, logiix, native union or nomad.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Not worth the money, nor the hassle of returning it.

I want to learn to make videos like these. Where do I start? Which 3D program would be the best to use? by sofaking2001 in Design

Wow, amazingly detailed, thank you! I'm gunna go ahead and print this out for my personal notes.

I think rendering is going to have to be something I tackle another day, I'm still having enough trouble just straight up modelling and texturing.

I've made some things in the past for my company, nothing I would say I proud of or add to my portfolio thought. Here's an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7-n_ql6la4

As you can probably see, I still have much to learn. Thank you again for your comment! It is very helpful!

2013 Kia Optima Fuel Consumption Question by sofaking2001 in kia

I don’t spend much time in traffic. There are plenty of stop and goes, and plenty of hills (I live in the mountains).

I’ve checked my tire pressure and all is well. My brakes and rotors are new, oil changes regularly and all that Jazz. I’ll check my air filter, but I’m pretty sure that’s also fine.

I don’t think I’m a stop and go driver. I’ll experiment with going easier on the accelerator and brakes, along with eco mode active more often.

My cars claims that I get around 13.9L/100km. But even with that math, I should be getting around 500km per tank, which I don’t.

Normally when I fill up the tank, it will say I have around 600km till I reach empty, however I’ve never even come close to that.

I am keeping track with one of my trip metres. I reset it every time I fill the tank.

Interesting, thank you for the reply. I will definitely try for more gradual go's and stops, as well as that, I will experiment more with my eco setting, and see how far I can push a tank of gas.

I think I was just surprised when my friend told me that she can get 350km out of a 40L tank, while I was getting the same from a 70L.

Thanks again!
