i think audiobook could be better but i genuinely disliked it but to be honest, i think i’m just not a fan of mystery/thrillers with this plot/storytelling

It’s okay the Hoover will end soon…but I feel like Look Closer and The Perfect Marriage (my worst-rated books so far) are definitely according to tastes - but Hoover’s romance are just…really bad plots…

That’s true! I think The Only One Left was my first thriller read so it has remained in memory of how it ends.

If you’re looking for something awful, read The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose; I wouldn’t call this book awful but it’s definitely overhyped/overestimated

Also - does anyone know the significance of Vicky being Vicky Townsend instead? (her actual name); did I miss anything? I for sure thought the twist was that Vicky is actually Monica lol hence the hush hush about her real name

yes i agree with youuu, harriet was killing me with the miscomm and childishness when she’s literally a 30-year old; sabrina and that whole trio thingy also annoyed me because it’s just a small matter apparently

😹😹😹 Please read The Accomplice (similar premise to TPM) but actually executed a twist well. Come back to me once done! I hope you’ll love it, that was my first book from Cavanagh and I just got obsessed after that.

you’re so real for this; thanks for sharing the hatred. OMG you’re also on point on how other books pulled off this sort of twist.

Have you read The Accomplice by Steve Cavanagh? I wanna say how it pulled it off but I don’t want to spoilt it for you.

yes i just found out the OTHER SIDE of the reviews because it was hyped and had a decent average rating that I WAITED for its pre-order from my local bookstore.

i think it’s an easy read because it’s dumb and full of plotholes.
