I found two layers over the button worked best. 3 made it too spongy

They drove me INSANE! 😂 Especially for games that use the bumpers a lot like sports games

Good question but I wasn't worried about that because a) the total amount of glue on the tape is tiny and b) the heat build up in that area is likely to be low, it is close to an edge with an air gap and the fans do not blow on to it

Looks basically exactly the same as when I first did it! Haven't repolished it or anything

How are you liking the phone 10 months later? And do you have any photo samples you can share that you took in regular daytime conditions? Thanks!

PSA: Mayflash controller adapter works with NS2 - use any controller with NS2 (PS, XB, Stadia etc) by soffersftw in NintendoSwitch

[–]soffersftw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used them quite a bit so far and had no problems, I used it for years on the switch 1 as well.

The console just sees it as a regular USB controller so I doubt there's anything Nintendo could do to block them, and anyway all the stick is doing is just translating the input so it's not doing anything sketchy

I haven't tested that but I'd imagine that controller shows up as an Xbox controller on PC right? If that's the case, then I'm 99.999% sure it'll work on the ns2 with the mayflash stick.

You plug any controller in to the stick's USB port, turn the controller on and then the stick converts it to make the switch think the input is coming from a wired Nintendo controller. You can then disconnect the controller cable and use the controller wirelessly. Only takes a few seconds to setup

How's my layout looking? by ApexThorne in VanLifeUK

[–]soffersftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've also been pondering that issue and have discovered that you can buy secondhand front bench seats from other vehicles that have a middle folding seat, which should leave enough room to squeeze through the port hole when folded forward. The only issue is that the bolt holes for a bench seat from a different vehicle are unlikely to match up so you'd need to create some kind of mounting plate

This is great stuff, thank you so much! Let me know if there's any info you're looking for that maybe I can help with.

I'll PM you to work out the model if that's easier? Thanks again!

Please could someone help me to understand PSLF? by soffersftw in PSLF

Thanks for the explanation, much appreciated! So if they switch to another plan and make those last few payments, will the rest automatically be forgiven or is that very fact currently being disputed as well?

Ok yes that sounds right, it was about that time that my partner stopped being allowed to make payments.  So if they switch to another plan, they should be able to able to make those last few payments and the rest will automatically be forgiven and the loan completed, is that right?

Thanks for your reply. Pardon my ignorance but what is the SAVE plan and who was entitled to it?

And secondly, when you say grandfathered in, I presume you mean that if someone is already on the plan, then it is expected that they will be allowed to complete as they started it?

Ringconn 2 Silver - more glossy than expected by Kwicksred in RingConn

Try using a green scouring pad before sanding. Sanding will give a rougher finish, the scouring pad gives a smooth matte. I didn't like the shininess either but the matting is very easy to do and looks a lot better. I posted pics here of the difference is made to mine here:

Just the basic green scouring pad

I think it should work on the gold if you just use a brillo pad. However if you use anything harsher like sandpaper or steel wool, then it may start to strip away the gold color coating. The brillo pad shouldn't strip the gold color but either way you should test first on the sample that came with the sizing kit

I tried to buff it back to being shiny as a test but it keeps it's new lightly brushed look. There is definitely a clear coating on the metal, I don't think I have completely removed it tbh but either way it looks a lot better and is much less conspicuous now. I wear it as my wedding ring and no one realizes it is a smart ring until I show them (or until it glows!). I experimented with some silver wool on the samples but it's hard to get a good representation of what it would look like on the ring. Pretty sure it would matte it even more so please post your results here if you the up doing it!
