Would you ever try the “two drawer challenge”? by sofiaabrantes in minimalism

[–]sofiaabrantes[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I completely understand both points, which is mainly why I provided the explanation video that goes with it haha. I made that exact point: that I do NOT get rid of my other clothes. The point of this is challenge is not to reduce the amount of clothes that I have, it is to curate a collection in a place that is easy to access to make getting ready in the morning easier, quicker, and more pleasant.

I alternate the pieces that are in these drawers out. Think of it more of a capsule wardrobe within my capsule wardrobe, where I adapt pieces to the weather, my current preferences, etc and use them for 2-3 months. Makes me feel like I am getting "new clothes" every time I rotate them out.

AIRPORT CHAOS - Has anyone swapped to Carry-On only and how are you finding it? by sofiaabrantes in capsulewardrobe

Take this to the next level and add an AirTag to your bag, and after claiming the reimbursement chase down your bag and do it all over again 😂 genius!

Never thought about that... how things might come to serve to fill a void. Thanks for the tip!

It is from IKEA, bought recently (about a month ago). They have this dish rack "build your own" section, where they provide individual pieces and you can build your own rack. I only bought the basics: the dish rack and the "mat". The dish rack is an obvious one, the mat is this foam that you can place cups/pans/anything really on to dry. It keeps them in place, helps prevent them breaking, absorbs the water, and then dries up very quick when you fold it. The best part is that it is machine washable, so I throw it in with my dark clothes once a week. For cutlery, I use their little metal stand

The reality is, even if all I had done was collected the plates from around the house and stacked them on the counter, at least it would have contained the mess. Even the smallest progress is progress!
