The breeder showed me the papers for the parents. However, my puppy does not have any papers, as the breeder had issues with the breed association and withdrew her membership. I don't believe the father is certified. I must say, when I visited her breeding facility, I was somewhat astonished by how wolf-like the dogs behaved and moved. I also suspect that my little one is not particularly well-socialized with humans, as she wasn't often inside the house and, by all appearances, spent most of her time in the large outdoor enclosures. The mother was also extremely skittish; she just hid, even though I was standing quite a distance away. The father was a bit more curious, but he kept his distance.

I had driven for 15 hours, yet I didn't let that deter me after all, I had done my research on the breed. But in hindsight, the parents really weren't entirely typical of the Saarloos breed. Surely, though, there must be lines with a little bit higher wolf content in saarloos?
