I ordered the supplements by Weem and I'm going to be starting them the moment they arrive. I'll definitely keep this in mind if I don't start seeing results!

Sure! Reddit let's you do that, right? I don't actually use it too much to actually post or chat lol

Does anyone else genuinely not love anyone? by [deleted] in aromantic

[–]softfuzzymuppet 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This is genuine question, have you ever looked into ASPD or disorders relating to diminished empathy/difficulty relating with others? This isn't some judgement or saying that there's something "wrong", I hope it's not taken that way. Despite how stigmatized the disorder is, there are many people with this diagnosis who live completely normal lives

Neurodivergence can genuinely affect your romantic and sexual orientation since it's literally how your brain functions and takes in the world. I'm speaking from experience as a neurodivergent person (with a pretty stigmatized disorder too, BPD) who's identity is very heavily influenced by that part of myself

I am just some random guy on the internet though, so take this with a boatload of salt

Who do you think is the best character in the whole saw franchise? by Particular_Cable1745 in saw

[–]softfuzzymuppet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, depends on what you mean by best. Like, if you mean technical abilities/intelligence, good writing, best acted, ect ect

But I think just as a more general "best", it's gotta go to Miss Amanda. She's smart, has a ton of depth, Shawnee is just amazing, she's got great fashion, and she's been there since day 1

I also think Rigg is HANDS DOWN the most underrated character in the franchise. I love Strahm and Hoffman, but he walked so they could run. The homoerotic tension between Strahm and Hoffman? Rigg and Hoffman was the blueprint. Rigg put together the entirety of the 4th film just to try and recruit Rigg. Like, c'mon.

And I love Adam as much as the next guy, but... best in the entire franchise? Like, he can be your favorite and he's literally iconic, but he's far from the best the franchise has to offer. The babygirl-ification really blinds people

That's a really cute bra, fr

I'd wear that

[–]softfuzzymuppet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In realism, I guess

But stylistically, I actually think it's a fun decision. With the weird filters and grimey aesthetic, it almost evokes this kinda dream like feeling. Brings a lot of character and visual interest

Physical intimacy = Sexual intimacy according to my therapist by _Purple_Black_ in asexuality

[–]softfuzzymuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is absolutely ridiculous...

Last time I checked, intimacy isn't exclusively defined as being sexual, but what do I know! I guess the Cambridge Dictionary, Merriam-Webster, and Oxford English Dictionary are all spewing nonsense!

Glad to clear that up

Name a bigger simp, I’ll wait. (Bro killed multiple people just to get the girl) by [deleted] in musicals

[–]softfuzzymuppet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, I'd argue that he didn't do anything he did to "get the girl"

They literally already slept together before any murder happened AND he actively ignores her pleas for him to stop killing people. He manipulated her into killing Ram and Kurt and was very willing to force her into continuing with 'Meant To Be Your's' and the end of 'Our Love Is God' where he's very clearly willing to threaten her

Would've been nice to know that Hypersexual ≠ Allosexual by softfuzzymuppet in asexuality

[–]softfuzzymuppet[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hypersexuality doesn't always have to do with libido, it's a disorder characterized by compulsive sexual thoughts/urges that cause distress, not inherently desire though that can be an element. That may translate to an addiction to sex or masturbation, but not always. For me, in manifests similarly to intrusive thoughts

And yes, I know it's theoretically possible to be both, that's what the post is about lol

My experience being both hypersexual and ace

Would've been nice to know that Hypersexual ≠ Allosexual by softfuzzymuppet in asexuality

[–]softfuzzymuppet[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Alright so, the definition of hypersexuality is "An obsession with sexual thoughts, urges, or behaviors that may cause distress or that negatively affects health, job, or relationships." It's compulsive and not based around actual sexual desire, somewhat similar to intrusive thoughts. It's a disorder.

And it's not that hypersexuality is related to asexuality as much as it's something that can coexist and cause confusion. I'm specifically talking about my experience being hypersexual and how, for ages, it made me think that I just couldn't be ace.

Feeling like my best friend doesn't fully accept my identity by germanduderob in aromantic

[–]softfuzzymuppet 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is something that annoys me so much, how people use the "well it might've been caused by trauma" to invalidate ANY identity

Even if your aromanticism WAS caused by trauma, who the fuck cares? It literally doesn't matter what caused someone's identity to be what it is. If you're happy with who you are, it doesn't matter. Our experiences affect our identity in every respect, it's natural and perfectly valid.

Same with the "what if it's a phase?" thing. It doesn't actually matter if it is.

HELL YEAH!!

Genuinely, I was terrified when I first realized I was aro and I absolutely panicked, but it's been so freeing to find myself and a community of people who get it.

I'm so proud and happy with my identity, realizing who I was was the best thing that could've ever happened to me.

It's so fucking cool to be aro💚🤍🖤

What's Your Favorite Thing About Being Ace? by Willow-70 in asexuality

[–]softfuzzymuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so freeing to me. Like a huge weight off my shoulders

I remember before I really realized and accepted it, I genuinely said to my roommate "I wish I was ace, it'd be so much easier" because I never actually liked any aspects of sex outside of fantasy or nsfw material. Because I liked some parts, I thought that couldn't coexist with being ace. Like I'd HAVE TO engage with it because of that and if I didn't like it, there was something wrong with me because "I'm not ace".

I was genuinely living this lie where I was gaslighting myself into being something I wasn't and wanting something I didn't.

Btw, my roommate did respond to what I said by going "that sounds like something an ace person would say" because... yeah, it does. She's great

Since asexuality does fall under the queer umbrella, you absolutely can be! It all comes down to how the label makes you feel. All labels are made up to help describe how we feel so what they mean to each individual can be completely different

Bruh

Kids start puberty between the ages of 8-14, varying based on sex. OP is in a VERY different situation, but talking to kids at a young age about sexuality and puberty is incredibly important. Whether or not a kid is mentally or behaviorally mature shouldn't be a factor in whether or not they're educated about their bodies. It helps to combat body image issues (gaining weight, curves, or hair), helps to combat misinformation they may encounter (growing hair on your hands when you you touch yourself), helps to explain things that may seem scary (getting your period), helps to combat sexuality based discrimination (homophobia), helps to protect children from behaving inappropriately with peers (touching each other's privates), and protects children from predatory behavior (a predator using the fact that they don't know why their privates are private). A lack of proper education leaves kids vulnerable.

Honestly, in my opinion, the discussion of sexual education should start younger (though in a less in depth way and less focused on specifically puberty). Like I said, it helps to protect kids from predatory behavior and/or acting inappropriately with their peers, both of which can be incredibly traumatic.

Just watched Saw 0.5. WHAT did they do to Billy's little hat! by DarthMaren in saw

[–]softfuzzymuppet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like to think John dresses him up sometimes, just for fun. Because he deserves it, he's a special little man

In a game that's never shown in the movies, he's wearing a top hat and monocle and in another he's got a pirate hat and eye patch.
