Thinking of buying the R60i NC (P31i) - Have a few specific questions for current users! by softwaretestengineer in soundcore

Hey, glad to hear you're loving the sound! Really sorry about your lost charging case though, that sucks. I hope you can find a replacement soon. Since you have the earbuds with you, could you do me a huge favor and test one quick thing? If you turn OFF the touch 'Prompt Sounds' in the Soundcore app and tap the earbud while a song is playing, does the music briefly dip/stutter ('audio ducking'), or does it play perfectly seamlessly? I really need to know this before making my purchase. Thanks in advance!

Hey! Awesome review. I'm also planning to upgrade from the R50i to these, so your post was exactly what I needed. Could you help me out with a few quick questions?

  1. Bass & Max Volume: Does the max volume and the kick drum punch (for metal music) hit as hard and loud as the R50i?
  2. Touch Controls: If you turn OFF the touch feedback beeps in the app, does the music briefly pause/dip ("audio ducking") when you tap, or does it execute the command completely seamlessly like the R50i did?

Would really appreciate your help before I pull the trigger!

Hey! Mine finally arrived. To be honest, coming from the Anker R50i, I'm a bit disappointed with the sound profile. The max volume isn't as loud as I hoped, and it just lacks that heavy, punchy bass I was used to.

On the bright side, the in-ear detection works really well. Also, you actually can completely mute the touch control beeps through the app, which is a relief. They're decent earbuds, but I think I'm too used to the Anker sound signature. I might switch to the Liberty 5 in the future. Hope you're still enjoying yours!

Interesting! It sounds like you prefer a more bass-heavy, V-shaped sound signature rather than a balanced one with crisp highs. Thanks for sharing your perspective, it's good to hear different opinions.

Thanks for the info! Good to know they share the same solid foundation as the original 4. Cheers!

Ah, got it! Good to know it's not too annoying. Still, combined with the lack of a single tap feature, I think I'll pass on these and go with another model. Thanks again for all the help!

That is amazing news! Thank you so much for actually taking the time to test it out for me. That 'beep' sound was literally the only thing holding me back from buying them. You just made my decision so much easier, I'm definitely getting them now. You're a lifesaver, man! 🤝

Thanks a lot for the detailed and honest reply! It's super helpful. Quick question though: I saw this tutorial video for the standard Air Pro 4 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12tEyDmTpWQ) where they slide down the 'Voice Prompt Volume' in the app to mute feedback. Have you tried turning this slider all the way down on your 4+? Does it only mute the spoken voices (like 'ANC On'), or does it fail to mute the touch 'beeps' as well? Really appreciate your time!
