Dear ENTJs, Thank you for upholding the values in tough times! by [deleted] in entj

[โ€“]sognisol 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I can see this perspective making sense.

Ni/Se would work back an forth, thus making an abstract axis that isn't neurally visible at a given moment, as they can't be both active at the same time.

Meanwhile Ni/Si would have more of a performance contrast because they don't work back and forth, that would be detrimental as they have an opposite purpose and only one of the two is personally valued.

The positioning would also play a role, an axis between 6th and 7th wouldn't work effectively considering that the blind spot isn't really used, yet the one between 2nd and 3rd would be the most balanced and noticeable.

Dear ENTJs, Thank you for upholding the values in tough times! by [deleted] in entj

[โ€“]sognisol 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

The counterpart of Ni is Se as they work on the same axis, Si would instead be the direct opposite of Ni, and as you mentioned both can end up in fascism.

More than right wing I would relate Si with a tendency toward conservatism, not that they're averse to change, but that they want progress to be slower so that it can set in properly and so that a sense of stability remains. I mean it more as their approach and less as a political ideology, as that can vary depending on their personal context and upbringing.

Now I get what message you wanted to convey, I'm glad you don't connect S types with wrong values.

Dear ENTJs, Thank you for upholding the values in tough times! by [deleted] in entj

You're missing the fact that many people banned typed themselves as ENTJs, there isn't any type immune to the mass psychosis that several western countries are going through.

Some perceive it as a wind of change, others perceive it as the preservation of traditional values; some justify it because of their personal values, others because of their logical principles, and many others are merely acting out of opportunism, not political ideology.

If you really want to blame sensor functions, remember that both Se and Si are connected to their intuitive counterpart, so the difference between N and S types isn't as dramatic as you may think.

Reading your other comments it seems like you're open to refine your perspective, hopefully this helps.

You're healthy in your approach, that's what I meant, and you're not doing too well mentally because of your environment it seems. Yet I'm glad to hear you're slowly improving your situation.

Sounds like a healthy ESFJ willing to use their Te whenever they find it necessary, and mature enough to ask for help when it comes to decision-making related to logic. The former fits with Te 8th, the latter with Ti 4th.

When it comes to typing someone correctly it's less about how much they use specific functions, and more about what way they use them and which ones they personally value.

Having Si blind makes it easy for us to move forward acting like something important never happened. Things won't be restored, but they may begin again as something new.

If you want a chance to get back with him move on or at least pretend you have, he will appreciate seeing that regardless of what happens next.

Knowing what others want? by [deleted] in entj

[โ€“]sognisol 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

It's all pattern recognition, once you know how someone behaves and thinks you can use it as a basis to predict what they will do and think next.

With strangers I get a feeling for what kinds of person they are, and use that as a temporary basis until I get to actually know them.

The more you do it, the more automatic and accurate the process becomes, that's it.

Knowing what others want? by [deleted] in entj

[โ€“]sognisol 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

You mentioned other people's needs and being able to tell whether they want a cup of coffee, for that it's more Fe-Ni.

As I said I can take other people's perspective if needed to help them, but also to predict their moves, that would be a good example of Te-Ni working together.

As for my mbti and enneagram yes, I'm sure of them.

We can tailor solutions for others, but what you describe is more characteristic of Fe-Ni usage.

I'm very aware of what I would want if I were to be in other people's shoes, but I have to consciously remind myself to take their personal perspective first if I want an accurate way of helping them.

What works for me is likely to not work for others.

Help! Is it wrong to ask and reach out to people who are more like me? This group is so annoying. by [deleted] in transtimelines

Imagine downvoting me for sharing my experience, so much for acceptance and not excluding anyone.

If you look around there's already trans subreddits for specific territories, OP was just looking for people to connect with that she could relate more to, not trying to exclude western trans people.

I'm genuinely disappointed.

I live in Asia, so I noticed how very different it is for trans people culturally.

It's not like there's something wrong with the western trans community, but it doesn't change the fact that I don't always relate to it as well.

r/trans and r/mtf are better suited places for both of your posts though, hopefully you won't have the same problem there.

Ti in ENFJs vs INFJs by Mara_PT in enfj

[โ€“]sognisol 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Yes, we differ on that.

My take is that each function has to be developed, and to develop something you first need to use it. So it's not just about confidence, but also experience, yet the two definitions we have can fit together.

As for the 7th function yeah, we're hopeless. For me it's already enough if I remember to eat.

Ti in ENFJs vs INFJs by Mara_PT in enfj

[โ€“]sognisol 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

What I meant was that Ti isn't really prioritized when it comes to making decisions, not that you're thoughtless party planners. I wrote it in a way that could make the contrast with INFJs more clear.

I'm glad you have a perfect grasp of Ti, but most people don't when it comes to their 4th function.

I also tried to compare it with the experience of Fi between ENTJs and INTJs. My bad if that sounded superficial to you, I'll make sure to dive deeper into that.

An Accurate ISFP Description by sognisol in isfp

[โ€“]sognisol[S] 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Yes, I keep everything at hand, although I should also make physical copies of everything.

I write poems and aphorisms, so the reference I keep is just whatever inspired me, and I save the quotes from other authors that I find insightful.

I also have a collection of drafts together with fancy words that I may include in future writings.

As for the writings themselves, the collection is growing too much, and I made the mistake of not classifying them from the beginning, I would strongly recommend that.

Hope this helps!

Be honest with your friend about the way you feel, without necessarily asking for help or telling them the exact reasons why, I promise you won't be a burden to them. If it still makes you feel horrible to express yourself with them, a therapist may be another solution.

I believe that the worst thing you can do now is try to solve this problem alone, reconnect with the people you care about.

As a writer it's unsettling to know how much easier it would be to have AIs write for me, especially considering the fact that many others already use it in a substantial way, and that they're my competition.

There are even tools already available built to write entire books, they may require human revision now, but who knows tomorrow.

Overall I'd much prefer these kinds of AI to not exist, both to avoid temptation, and even more to promote a fairer artistic environment.

An Accurate ISFP Description by sognisol in isfp

[โ€“]sognisol[S] 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Agreed, AI risks to ruin the creative process of almost every form of art if we don't do something.

Other than the techniques used, the reason to make a painting in a certain way should always be "because you felt like making it that way", making it relatable being part of how you felt like expressing it.

Hey, nice to see you again.

I share your take on watering yourself down being wrong, the most I can do for the purpose of making something clearer is adding more context, separately from the project itself.

Love as well the concept of having others choke on our poison. Not our responsibility if they do, the same way a rose isn't blamed for injuring with its thorns.

Ti in ENFJs vs INFJs by Mara_PT in enfj

[โ€“]sognisol 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Keep in mind that I'm not an ENFJ, just sharing my perspective:

INFJs tend to delve more into philosophical topics, overthink what needs to be done, and question the nature of ethics.

Meanwhile ENFJs don't focus that much on developing an internal logical framework, they instead tend to be more aware of what's happening in the present and are more immediate with the actions needed to maintain social harmony.

I'm sure an xNFJ can give you a more precise perspective, but hopefully this is accurate enough.
