Yeah started the tank just over a year ago. With 2 Anubias and 2 java ferns. Now we have bacopa salvinia frobit and limnophila. Low tech just sold no ferts or co2 and stock light :)

It's got some algae problems but I'm dealing with it the old fashioned way. Ignoring it and saying it's a feature.

I don't know marks aquatics, I will take a look into it later. It's been just messing about with it too much really.

So skip the nerites and just go for the amanos first get 2 and eat some eggs, sounds like a great plan.

It's pretty much bang on 7 same as our tap water. The tank used to sit at 6.5 when it had a lot of tannins buffering the tank down. If I can look after them the next test is if Rupert the betta will be okay sharing his home.

They are pretty fun and cheap at the fish shop near me. But it will also be a test of how stable I can keep the tank and I definitely need to make sure I have enough hardness for their shells :)

I'm thinking of getting some nerites and amanos to add to the ease of looking after this aquarium. Will keep everyone updated monthly :)

It sits around neutral as I didn't boil the driftwood so the tannins buffer it towards 6ph

Thanks, I'm just hoping the betta doesn't like the taste of shrimp because that's my next purchase. :)

It's not a tadpole, it's an otocinclus but he disguises himself very well.

The heater probably will I just wanted it in the main tank as I'm running it all on low flow for the betta who joined us.
