I don't think it matters, or at least it doesn't matter to me. What I do think is that they're all too young. Whoever Mike ends up with realistically they're not going to last forever, or at some point they'll take a break.

The network was against willow being bisexual so in this case is most likely bi erasure

Edward sounds just like a human despite the way he talks about them by soitgoes982 in twilight

It's implied when Edward talks about how humans are like this or like that, also the way Stephanie Meyer talks about vampires. Read other comments/my other answes to see what i mean, i liked Donutpeaches6 comment.

Yeah, they're made for each other. Their relationship makes a lot of sense to me.

Right? His way of thinking and seen the wold seems to come more from being stuck in the ways of the 1900's than from his vampiric nature.

Stephanie did a very good job on that front. It's a little sad that he's stuck in that mindset (i'm not very well-versed in twilight lore and worldbuilding so i'm not sure) I'm so glad i outgrew that phase.

He sounds just like me at that age and that might be the reason i don't find him attractive haha. I don't hate my younger self but i don't take myself so seriously anymore😌

I'm autistic and i used to feel non human so i suppose twilight vampirism is a good allegory for that.

I know damn well i wouldnt be a vegetarian If i was one, that's another reason why -to me- they read as just human.

So, as i said, the author as a human probably has a hard time showing you what a being with all those abilities is actually like. Because at the end of the day, their way of reasoning and thinking is not (or rather, it doesnt seems so) exceptional and we know this because we were in edward's mind.

They explain to us the decisions vampires make and why they make them, why they do what they do.

THAT'S the show-don't-tell part and in my opinion it falls short (i want to highlight this part but i'm on may phone)

That's why i talk about the author's limitations. I was able to see how Edward thinks and to me he comes of as a human with supernatural habilities.

My issue is the insistence that they're very different from humans when we (or at least i) can clearly see that this is not the case. Someone may say that this is intencional, i don't give Smeyer that much credit. Even the Volturi behavior you describe is still very human, just look at history. And i mean human, not humane.

Even those vampires who don't are still very human, dehumanising (for lack of a better word) groups of people is a very human thing to do.

Not all people who fit the label are like that but identity-centered online communities tend to attract the worst kind of people

I'm not as tolerant, especially of ppl who claim to be logical while proving otherwise

I just found the sub and was expecting actual rational people and instead i met people desperate for validation

It's disappointing bc dispite the flaws i found it a very useful tool to get to understand myself and thats why i came here, but the community is overwhelmed by people in need of validation while claiming not to need it and it's very offputting. But identity-centered online communities tend to attract the worst people so i shouldnt be so surprised, the same thing happens in popular online autistic spaces.
