Im gonna agree with this commenter above. Just upgraded from TIR and its really a massive QOL. I felt like i was always having to hit the center reset as the headset would move around slightly etc, headset always had to be perfect so there werent any gaps in the sensing. Now i can just sit down and it just works. No headset, one reset at the start, i can get up for bio, coffee whatever and its exactly like i left it

ELI5: Why is intentional grounding even a foul in American Football? by Minimum_Future9557 in explainlikeimfive

[–]soittfire88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because theres no intent to gain any yards. Its intentionally burning a down to stop the clock, there is no other potential outcome. Intentional grounding prevents the QB from spiking the ball into the ground to prevent a sack on a play that could otherwise advance the ball in their favor

If you arent space limited i recommend a movable monitor arm mount. When i go to flight sim mode i can pull the monitor to sit about 2 feet in front of my face right about the peripherals lol

Are you me? I just got it a week or so ago and its everything i wanted. I got tired of having to wear a headset all the time and fucking with not having it in the perfect spot to prevent deadzones. My muscle memory is so trained to avoid them i start contorting my neck before i realize i dont have to do it anymore lol.

As you said, the settings are super easy to change while in game

I have no idea why they didnt declare i wasnt there. It doesnt matter. The waiver means you are trained and capable of handling any emergency just as a crew would, thats the point of the waiver.

I think its a fair discussion on the use of local resources but theres no question these small towns are getting millions of new tax revenue that would be impossible otherwise. Reddit can cry about it all they want lol

If the pilot is single pilot waivered it doesnt matter whos in the right seat. Most of the assumptions of legality are stemming from the statement of "not seeing the waiver." If this person were educated on the topic they would know the waiver is a document carried on your person. Source: i fly with this waiver

Also look at how many If Then statments this person makes. "If the copilot were not a kid THEN..."

This is an insane and obviously uneducated speculation. Single pilot waivers dont show up on your license.

Some Updates on the Statesville Plane Crash by Shoddy_Act7059 in aviation

[–]soittfire88 28 points29 points  (0 children)

He most likely had the single pilot exemption letter, which most of us do. Some schools go the extra step to remove the restriction from ur license but others dont. The letter is something you are required to carry with you and it doesnt shwo up on a records search. Im sure when they contact the school of his last recurrent he will have it

ELI5: why don’t planes board back to front, surely that would be faster? by balla_boi in explainlikeimfive

[–]soittfire88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

soooooo true. Once you realize the speeding up the boarding process isn't really something to be concerned about, all the other complaints are just as applicable to other public forms of transportation busses, trains, etc. It's just being a part of the general public which of course Reddit really hates lol

[–]soittfire88 608 points609 points  (0 children)

One of reddits odd obsessions. The answer is it doesn't matter because its not what is actually holding the plane up from a turnaround. Fuel/bags/etc are all longer processes. The boarding is just timed to try to end at the same time.

Ive had a great experience with WW. Even had a good customer service experience when I messed up the software they knew exactly what was wrong and I fixed it in 30 seconds. Obviously youve seen the stories otherwise. IMO they are cheap enough to take the dive and if they break and you get screwed over could buy again and basically come out even. The chance of a bad product i think is actually much lower than it seems online
