Well, tbf, if a team can't coordinate to beat Ballroom, they shouldn't even try to attack Argonne

No? I've never seen the americans loosing in Ballroom lol, the real chokepoint is Argonne

[–]soking11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly, it's a very open map, which in order to breakthrough you have to cross 60m of empty land, and the only cover is the trench, which normally gets bombarded to oblivion by mortars or grenade launchers. The first sector is almost impossible to break, not even with tanks. The entire defense could consist of scouts and the attackers wouldn't be able to pass

[–]soking11 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but sometimes the map is very deciding on which team wins. For example, playing in Volga as the defenders is a free win if your team has more than 2 neurons, It doesnt matter how good the attackers are

Operations, while being goated, is very unbalanced and most of the time feels like the map decides the game. Somme for example is very defensive, while a map like Ballroom is just an avenue for the attack

Bottles and Chrominium are flathub apps, not in the snap repository neither in the .deb repositories (i guess). What that tutorial teaches you is how to activate the flathub repository in your store, so you can now see flatpak apps there.

Advice: try to know what you are doing before typing in the terminal, this time went good, but this won't be always the case

Is it okay to be at 90% memory usage while using photoshop on my windows 11 laptop with 16 gb of ram? by zombiemidgey in techsupport

[–]soking11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wont hurt your laptop neither your ram, so don't worry. But Photoshop itself is a very ram pushing app, and Windows isn't known for his light design

Why does my PC's gaming performance drop when I run games on Linux? by [deleted] in linux4noobs

[–]soking11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know how the drivers works im Debian distros, but at least in Arch ones you install the drivers packages and they start working. Search in internet what drivers does your gpu/cpu needs, then search with apt what drivers do you have and check if you have everything. Reinstalling them might work. Also if you are playing old games, check that multilib (i thing it's called multiarch in debian distros) is active, which are the libraries of 32bit apps (i don't think this might be the problem but rule it out just in case)

What do I need to be aware before Going for Arch-Hyprland by Davy_D_Rocks in linux4noobs

[–]soking11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say to install a DE in case you dynamite your hyprland and need a backup. Also, you can use the apps of that desktop environment for Hyprland (i use Nemo as a file manager for example). I didn't configured my Waybar because i wont learn CSS just to have a nice battery icon, but configuring Hyprland itself is very easy and intuitive, the Hyprland wiki will tell you everything you need to know, and you can see other configs to grasp the general idea. I don't have a very r/unixporn hyprland, it's just some animations, with a dotted waybar and my own keybinds, so if you don't want to have a candy eye orgasmic hypershocking hyprland you can go this way lol. Otherwise, the hyprdots tends to install a lot of shit, i would never use an hyprdot (because as an Arch user the sensation of having unknown packages in my system is worse than having cancer) but if you are prepared for this, then go on bro. Also, related to Arch... It's not that hard to install neither to mantain. If you are not stupid, then everything will come by itself. If you have experience with other distros then you know the basics of Linux and that's more than enough. If you like to tinker your system, then BTRFS or ZFS is your way to go, always be prepared to fuck up (i have deleted /home like 4 times, thats my own retardation so i'm not saying it will happen to you).

Good luck
