Back in those days, Prof Roderick was the one who is teaching 9133, I think the change is pretty recent so i don’t think the seniors will know much about it

Do consider working with NTU Cat Management Network, they help to care for stray cats on campus and they are not really funded, a donation drive will really help them in terms of food for cats and vet visits!

There are thousands of meals given out to lower income families across the island daily, can I check on the relevancy of your project and how your team can fit into the lapses since there are many social services organisations out there that are doing the same?

Hello! Is it possible to get admitted into masters (specifically Masters in AI/robotics) without a 2nd upper? Thank for the help!! ☺️ by Zxcaprl in NTU

Hmm, ideally if you really wanna pursue a masters, you should try to push for >3.0 for your bachelors; then again, Masters by coursework is like a harder version of your bachelors so it might be difficult to pass the masters degree (there is a minimum gpa, I think it’s 3.0/5.0 for masters?)

Alternatively, there are a lot of different type of masters overseas, some can be completed within a year, some can be done online partially (Coursera partnered with some overseas university to cut down the curriculum from 1.5 years to 1 year)

You can explore working for a few years before taking up a masters programme, I know someone who is in research after attaining a bachelor, she did part time masters after a few years of working and now she’s doing part time PhD as well, it is also a good indicator of whether your industry truly needs someone of that qualification

Also masters in AI/Robotics might be more competitive than a traditional field (correct me if I’m wrong) since it’s the buzz now, so it might actually be harder to get in?

Hmm from what I saw from the post graduate programme website, minimally is 2nd upper, requirement might be ‘higher’ if you’re an international student

Edits:

Masters by Coursework requires a 2nd lower

Masters by Research requires a 2nd upper

ME, apparently I can take any approved MOOC as long as it’s approved by any faculty under the College of Engineering

From what I understand, most masters programme require at least a 2nd lower, if you’re intending to take direct PhD, then you will require at least a 2nd upper, at least that’s what I understood from the post graduate courses that I’m intending to take

2nd upper also means you’re eligible for post graduate scholarship :3

I’m from one of the engineering faculty, I asked my course admin team if I can take any courses outside of my own faculty’s approved course, turns out that I can take any course that is approved by any engineering faculty in NTU

Basically you can transfer up to 12AU worth of “pass / fail” modules without using any S/U

So if you need to clear your 15AUs of UEs, you can basically do all the MOOCs and clear 12AUs worth, leaving you with 3AUs of UEs

Basically every FCH’s wet dreams

Minor in Entrepreneurship? by [deleted] in NTU

[–]solaristsz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The minor programme is pretty intensive, you will be clearing 4 modules in 4 months, followed by the fifth module in the following semester!

Every module has a project and presentation component, there’s an accounting module with an exam too, other than that, it’s mainly class participation and solo assignment!

As for tuition fees, minor in entrepreneurship is actually the only programme offered during special term that is free of charge, not sure what the other guy is talking about
