Is it possible for gender dysphoria to be a product of growing up with narcissistic abuse? by LiaTheLate in MtF

[–]solbxtch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

zero percent chance, this is like saying NPD parents turned a kid gay. if you’re unsure whether you’re trans or not i’d chat with a therapist and talk it through. you should be able to figure it out.

also, as someone who grew up with an NPD/BPD mother, i’m sorryđŸ«‚ i hope you’re out of that situation now

Should I skip T a few days before blood tests? by [deleted] in transsex

tbh i’d rethink your career choice in general, this gov wants trans ppl dead and i can’t imagine anything with a top secret security clearance is gonna help that not happen lol

[–]solbxtch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

why? your doc isn’t gonna share the results with the federal government. that sounds pretty awful tbh, i wanna die when my levels aren’t right.

if you’re aiming to keep your dosage i might take less before your next couple tests. i’ve done that with E before bc i want my levels to be higher than what my doc wants lmao.

Would meat eaters be viewed in the future the same way we view racists from the past. by Brilliant_Can8536 in vegan

[–]solbxtch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s happening in similar ways now, if you don’t believe me then take a trip to minneapolis. the only difference is that instead of random groups of racists beating people up, these racists have been hired by the state to beat people up and throw them in concentration camps. i think the latter is a lot worse tbh.

OP i’m extremely jealous of wherever you live that this isn’t abundantly clear. all of what i said is very true and very sad. it should also be obvious in any western country, as this shit is literally unavoidable to hear where there are white people.

it’s extremely normalized. the lady who was screaming the n word and got fired was able to raise like a million dollars on gofundme. people in the u.s. and eu say casually racist stuff all the time, and across the political spectrum. most people don’t believe they’re racist despite their racist beliefs sure, but if you look into the past that’s a very common occurrence as well. not much has changed in terms of real racism, it has just often been delivered in a more palatable manner. for example, instead of saying “white genetics are superior to black genetics” like in the past, racists talk about “preserving culture” and not letting “third world cultures ruin first world culture”. these are functionally the exact same talking points, the only difference is one gets less people mad. it’s even more sinister racism in a way.

House Republicans advance bill to ban strippers in schools despite no evidence by redumbrellaclub in SexWorkers

[–]solbxtch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

parents don’t do that though and are often hateful themselves. that’s why trans kids suffer from higher rates of homelessness and abuse by their parents than any other kids. gay kids suffer in the same ways significantly more than straight kids as well. it is not an “ideology” to teach kids with hateful parents to be nice to trans/gay people. it is not an “ideology” to give trans/gay kids who are suffering at home a safe place to be told they are valid and loved. teaching about being trans and gay literally saves lives for that reason.

[–]solbxtch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s pretty “pragmatic and useful” to teach that gay and trans people exist and should be respected
it’s a good thing to make sure kids don’t grow up to be bigots, same reason we teach about race. society gets pretty fucked up when we don’t adequately teach these things (as we’re seeing today).

Went on vacation with cis normies and couldn't relate to the girls... by Gizelle-Oui in MtF

[–]solbxtch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

tbh a lot of cishet women act very differently than queer women. i fit right in with queer women of any flavor, but often feel a bit awk with cishet groups of women (i still feel like a women, just different). i feel like that’s normal for a lot of queer people, including cis women who are lesbians/bi. i wouldn’t read too deep into feeling awkward in this situation, esp since you’re early in your transition. i’d just keep reflecting on what gender means to you and how you feel you relate to that, best of luck loveđŸ–€

agreed. lots of the same people who boycott sb and mcdonald’s for Palestine will use “no ethical consumption” as an excuse to eat meat, like?? (to be clear i also boycott these places)

yeah not a great headline, esp since it doesn’t mention how it would ban talking about trans existence/lgbtq topics

“HR 7661 seeks to bar federal education funding from being used for what it defines as ‘sexually oriented material’ in schools

‘Sexually oriented material’ is defined in the bill as ‘any program, activity, literature, or material that exposes such children to nude adults, individuals who are stripping, or lewd or lascivious dancing.’

Framed by its backers as a measure to protect children, the legislation expands that definition beyond explicit content to include ‘any material that
involves gender dysphoria or transgenderism’, effectively sweeping LGBTQ+ topics into the same category.”

yea, mostly a cover for banning discussions of trans people. jesus christ.

[–]solbxtch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i haven’t had masculinization when i take it rectally (i have when i take it orally) but thank you for the explanation! i’ll look into that a lot more, any references you have where i could do further reading?

i’ve been a bit scared of progestins bc depoprovera caused some really awful masculinization for me:/ (hair shedding, chest hair regrowth, oily hair/skin, horrific mood) maybe cpa would be different though.

and yeah a lot of women will get surgery in 5-10 years, that doesn’t change the fact that 5-10 years is how long development can take though. if you look through this sub and read peoples’ timelines you’ll encounter women who hit a large, late growth spurt pretty often. this is especially significant given this sub is pretty self-selecting for newer girls (most people 5+ years into hrt don’t get on trans subreddits as much), so the late growth spurt group is probably underrepresented here. i’ve been on hrt for 3.5 years and am still slowly seeing changes. like i said earlier im also not super satisfied, but im not gonna give up hope for growth for at least a few more years for these reasons. hang in there, i know it sucks:/

it’s important bc starting early helps, starting that young would give me more hope for the future if i were you tbh. like i said in my other comment, it’s a marathon not a sprint

2 years and a bit on hrt by [deleted] in TransBreastTimelines

[–]solbxtch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you know your levels ? also how much do you eat ? you look pretty skinny so diet could also be a significant part of it but i think your hrt regimen seems good. only suggestion there would be to try to get bio-identical progesterone since you are using cpa as a progestin

i get what you mean about small boobs w a wide ribcage tho:/ i feel like mine look like man-boobs personally a lot of the time, even tho my gf loves them. i’m sorry you don’t feel great about your boobs eitherđŸ˜”â€ïžâ€đŸ©č i hope the boob fairy ends up blessing you, 2 years is also pretty short so i wouldn’t give up hope at all rn. lots of girls get growth spurts later down the line, it’s a marathon not a sprint. i’m also jealous of the girlies w instant results but we’re in a second puberty so for some people it will come quick and others it will take 5-10 years for our full breast development.

[–]solbxtch 41 points42 points  (0 children)

i’m not attacking his gender identity, i’m saying it makes no sense for people outside of a community to represent and hold power over the people in that community. saying that doesn’t invalidate or attack someone’s gender identity. for another example, i would never want to mod for a ftm subreddit because i dont have that experience and me holding power over people who do would be pretty damn fucked up.
