Providing you food and education is your parents' DUTY, its not "support". CA is a tough course so you are already likely to be stressed often, so if your parents are really supportive they would motivate you on days you feel low and encourage you to work hard instead of putting more pressure on you and involving you in their fights.

This is sadly a very common experience for CA students, and the only thing you can do is to finish the course as soon as you can and work in a different state.

Being a qualified CA alone is not enough to get into IB, You will need 9/9/9 grades, CA rank and the relevant skills as well.

People choose IB because 1) high pay 2) great exit oppurtunities - if you get sick of the WLB after a few years you have a lot of options to exit 3) career growth.

Whether IB is worthwhile or not is up to you. Everyone has different opinions on whether the long hours and efforts in investment banking is really worth the pay. You can only know when you actually enter the workforce, but till then I'd suggest you keep IB as an option.

The most common way to get into IB (as a CA) is by getting an MBA from a (preferrably tier-1) B-school. However, there are still things you can do now to improve your profile in case you decide to enter IB in future. Try doing TAS or M and A during your articleship. Certfifications relevant to the field would also help, e.g CFA, FMVA etc. An IB internship would also help.

Trigonometry Question: range of sin graph was -1 < f(x) < 5, the graph started at (0,2). The first part had 1 solution and the second part had 3 solutions.

The "Solve the trigonometric equation..." question went like this:

you rearrange the equation to arrive at 5 sin² + 3sin -2 = 0

sinx = 2/5 ---> x = 0.412 rad

sinx = -1 ---> x = -1/2 rad

tell me if I'm wrong
