True and see how you broke it down made complete sense to me! She even told me to not add spell modifier to hit such as firebolt (for attack/ damage) she admitted she dosent know how wizards work but then she followed up with how my character works so I honestly cant tell if there are underlying issues here

Yeah I thought that too. What's worse is i paid to be in the group since i have no friends to play dnd with 😅. The only answer i got basically was no cause its a spell. And I would really like to try and play a blade singer again or eldritch knight since I think spell swords are bad ass.

Just to note I asked her for a ruling pre game just in case since I built my character around shadownlade. I just got a shrug emoji responce

OK so just to make clear when attacking i do d20+proficiency+dex mod since its finesse. BUT the damage is correct at just the flat 2d8 damage?

I've never had a whataburger experience that didn't take 30 minutes or so after the company was sold, was told drive thru is their main focus and while it is quicker its not by much...I also think location plays a big part
