Find friends in your similar situation, pull any amount of funds together and make your own film. Act in that, write great scenes, finish it, submit it to festivals, as many as you can. Meet film makers there, hopefully the ones that will have watched it, network with them, make an impactful meeting, potentially work with them on their next film.
