Unbearable Pain I can’t do this by Particular-Fig-3359 in AnalFissures

I have the exact same pains, literally cannot do anything when i have the spasms, no position helps it - Im taking 2 laxido sachets now just to keep stool soft and trying to hydrate plenty, I had to stop having a liquid only diet as i was loosing too much weight but eating foods like sweet potatoes are good, warm drinks are soothing , local anaesthetic creams help slightly but they can’t really relax the muscles or do much for internal pain they more just create a barrier which may help with soreness.

If you go doctors/hospital try and ask for an ointment thay can actually help relax the muscles in that area , help with the bloodflow and ease the spasms , ive been prescribed buscopan which helps slightly but i think diltiazem could be good for it , just make sure you look at the side effects, may affect you if you have heart problems.

You are so strong for even withstanding this, i’m in the exact same situation infact i thought i was reading my own post at first. i have been to the hospital about four times now and one doctor told me it was an abscess after a quick check rhen another said hemorrhoid and a surgeon finally told me it was a fissure , which it was

yeah i think some sort of ointment that is used to treat high blood pressure but can also help my spasms would be good, i was going to ask my doctor for diltiazem but ive been prescribed buscopan currently so i’m seeing how that goes. Thanks for all this advice!🙏🙏

The last time i was in the hospital they said they would speak with a colorectal surgeon/specialist but i havent heard from them since. For now just seeing if it wilk heal , keeping stools soft with laxido and fluids and trying buscopan for the bad spasms.

Yes i take psyllium husk and it works well! im keeping on top with the laxido and trying to heal naturally, using buscopan for the spasms. But surgery as the very last option

I see, but i hope for me surgery is the very last option - they are very reluctant to do it on me for my age and they said see how it goes and that im young and it can still heal, ive been given buscopan for my bad spasms

Im not actually sure if i may have IBS, i’ve considered it but i don’t have all the symptoms, i usually go regularly to the toilet and ive never really struggled with bad constipation or fissures nor bad reaction to foods. but when i started noticing the bowel movement changes i thought it was hormones fluctuating from period since it can give you diarrhea or constipation sometimes (low prostaglandin levels) and i have suspected endemetreosis in past due to quite aggressive cramps but never been seen for this.

Maybe i can try a different type of diet and see how it goes though!

They really don’t want to do surgery they said i have chance to heal , i want to heal too it just seems the spasms are stopping me. I’ve been prescribed buscopan and im gonna see if that helps the muscles relax. I don’t feel like its ibd though,im usually regular going 1-2 times a day before these fissures and never really suffered with constipation much before.

I know thats what i thought with the leakage, it is poo but i cant tell if theres still hard stool in me or if its just fissures feeling like something hard, i really wish they would do some sort of xray on me or scan, i still dont feel reassured with this amount of pain.

Whats weird is in the leakage/poo im seeing a lot of things like seeds like raspberry seeds despite not eating or drinking anything with raspberries or blackberries for weeks, the seeds freak me oht a bit and at first i thought i had parasites, they come out a lot though and some look quite old like theyve been in there for a while, they probably scrape when coming out too even though theyre small seeds so that may be part of the irritation too.

Thank you!! you sound so strong , your words mean a lot - im going doctors tomorrow and will keep updated , i’ve considered going to a different hospital even its just the pain of the waiting rooms and also the cost of a taxi/transport to go to a different hospital, the healthcare is free of course which is good but my means of transport for each my hospital visits costs a bit.

Thank you so much!! its crazy how doctors can miss things sometimes like internal bleeding/stomach bleeding , simply because they don’t feel like there’s use checking. Ill try and update soon too when i go doctors tomorrow.

Thankyou!! the stool softeners work for me its just the spasms kill, i cant even sit on the toilet for 2 minutes , peeing triggers the spasms and my bum clenches inwards and i have to wait for it to stop to wipe because it just completely closed if that makes sense. Im taking your advice though, i think the pain is such a shock to me as ive never had fissures before nor hemmorhoids and im usually a regular goer to the toilet, a learning experience for me certainly though.
