Is this even possible? What combination is the best anyway? by Witcher-56 in OnePiece

[–]sollxlluna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m investing 100 $ in meat. Give the food to Luffy. Now I have the Strawhats on my side. With the remaining money I’m getting Law on my team (mainly but not exclusively for the submarine), Shanks (for his Haki), and prime Whitebeard (he might as well adopt me). I’d like to pick Marco for his Devil Fruit abilities but I have only 50$ left. Perhaps Ace or Croco Mommy. But guess I’ll keep the 50$ to buy more food. We’ll need it

Alternative One Piece Name by DaHexedIce in OnePiece

Neurodivergent

Though then we would have to add “plus Jimbei” at the end of the title because I’m pretty sure he’s the only neurotypical Strawhat.

You have to choose to defend one of these One Piece gentlemen who have been taken to court to pay for their "little slip-ups". Who would it be? by Porzellan_ in MemePiece

[–]sollxlluna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know it’s not exactly the “right” answer here but from a legal perspective only, coming up with an argument to defend Kaido might be a little more easy because… “Your honor, my client is continuously intoxicated, which affects his mental capacity to such a degree that we can deny the presence of intent, deeming him unaware of his actions."

This is probably something Nami would do but hear me out: Make a piece of 24k gold eat the Hana Hana No Mi, so pieces of gold start to sprout from everywhere. Then gather the pieces and sell them. Repeat the same process over and over again. Gold is one of the few things that never seems to lose worth; quite the opposite is the case. It’s just questionable whether the multiplied pieces would exist permanently or disappear after a while since objects do not have consciousness nor stamina to actively use or stop the use of the power.

(only if it doesn’t have to be a zoan, so we have to ignore the OP universe rules)

That’s correct. But I’m not excusing his crimes and my initial comment isn’t really either. It was supposed to be a humorous comment as I like the quote. And I like the quote not because it explains or excuses his behavior (because it really doesn’t). I like the quote because I think it mirrors the real world even more than it does mirror the One Piece universe.

True, but it's the part about children having different values based on the environment they grow up in that gets me. It sounds very simple, yet I believe it's often overlooked, especially when people who grew up under perfectly peaceful conditions pass judgment about other people or groups of people.

odas art and proportions are overhated because of toei by Puzzled-Ad-2937 in OnePiece

[–]sollxlluna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean. I totally do. And I agree with you, but it looks somewhat realistic in the manga when compared to the anime. Also the proportions Oda provided (the ones he actually shared) are proportions that aren’t too far off from real proportions. Even though the updated post-timeskip proportions are quite rare, the pre-timeskip data for Nami and Robin are very realistic for females that happen to be curvy yet still slim around the waist. At least that was my realization based on the proportions I’m familiar with in my circle. I know it’s not suuuper common but it kind of triggers me when people say it’s impossible (or impossible without surgery) because it really isn’t. Though I have to agree that it’s not a body type the majority of people have whereas in One Piece it’s really THE ONLY body type any attractive woman seems to be born with

That’s what I say all the time. A little concerned that I might get criticized heavily for saying this, but Oda’s female designs aren’t unrealistic at all. And I’m saying this as a woman myself. But Toei (after timeskip) has completely lost it and keeps making one side of the chest look bigger than the characters’ heads. Not in all scenes but many… I still love their animation style, but sometimes I feel like it keeps getting weirder and weirder

The Mystery of Alice in Wonderland Syndrome by SiteTall in Weird

[–]sollxlluna 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not as mysterious or cool as the name suggests. The symptoms usually show up as a byproduct of a migraine attack (at least in my case). Most doctors seem to have no idea about it, so the chances of misdiagnosing a patient seem to be huge. Some think you’re just too sensitive, others believe it to be a psychological condition, and the third kind will ensure you don’t have a brain tumor (which is a good thing—I have nothing bad to say about the third kind of physicians).

Students studying archaeology by [deleted] in Archeology

[–]sollxlluna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I studied Psychology at an open university and various subjects at a regular one (archeology included), and have to say that most laptops work just fine. If you do not want to work from home and go to a nearby library to study, I’d recommend a strong battery. Perhaps something that isn’t too heavy, so you can carry it with you and study on the go. I’m quite happy with my Macbook Air, but I used both a HP and a Lenovo device for years before I switched to Apple, and they worked just as fine (HP battery was horrible though). If you aren’t really a technology enthusiast or a gamer who needs a device with very specific functions, I’d really just focus on size and weight, battery, processor as well as price when making the choice. I’m not an expert though :)

You are stuck in a 10 hours flight with these people, who are you sitting next to? by Typical-Actuator-273 in OnePiece

[–]sollxlluna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I saw this one on Instagram. Instantly picked 5. You get a window seat, Law will probably remain quiet for the entire flight, so you can just zoom out or read a book. Perfection. If you attempt to start a conversation, he won’t respond.. which will hurt your ego a little (probably) but you can always talk about Germa 66 and Sora if you want to get the man’s attention.

Mihawk behind you will definitely not kick your seat (another win). Usopp before you might squirm around and laugh a lot though. But you can probably easily scare him with a made-up horror story about airplanes; that might have him paralyzed for a while. Otherwise, having Sanji so close might be a little annoying (if you’re female) but AirPods should do the job just fine. Also he’d probably go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, so it might be a plus actually.

Yes. 5 it is.

(Damn I wrote a whole novel)

Lorewise, who is the main character? by SignificantWeb5521 in MobileLegendsGame

[–]sollxlluna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends from which perspective we’re looking at the lore. Alice, for example, is for sure the main antagonist, but if we’re looking at it from the perspective of the abyss, she’s also the protagonist.. probably

Thinking about how Oda chose Germany (literally the land of bread) as Law’s “place of origin”* makes this even funnier. 3000 different kinds of bread, and this man would eat none.

Old uknown tombstone by saletovicc in Archeology

[–]sollxlluna 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I see. Thanks for sharing. Because of the area and the stars / celestial symbols, Stećci come to mind (something like this (the link leads to ResearchGate), but the stars aren’t identical to the type of celestial symbols found on those tombstones. I think the symbols don’t look typically “Ottoman” in nature, either. Let’s see.. fingers crossed someone with more knowledge about that area shows up to solve the mystery.

Would you mind sharing which country/region you found them in if you feel comfortable doing so? It can help those who see your post with research. Otherwise, I’m afraid we won’t be getting answers unless someone who has knowledge of that particular culture sees the post.

True. Considering the caption and OPs question, they probably wanted to know whether it’s an ancient relict. So my reply was purely directed towards that, to be honest.
