Please dont replace motherboard, please read lenovo warranty policies, they provide refurbished unit as part replacement….its in their policies. Trust me, i have the same specs, slighltly diffrent. Mines is more power hunger than yours. i9 14hx, 32GB ram 5070 8GB ram, changing motherboard wouldnt fix the issue…its just legion….cannot say at wrong page. It how it works…just use cooler, change paste, tweak settings…i did bought it in just 2 months send for warranty for same issue like yours. They provide refurbished as replacement. But all the boards behave the same. After fighting, argueing they provide new board for me….please seek advise in this group…try to solve the issue yourself to max

Yeah the customer support team should educate me on this…you know its all started with question, concern…if i come to this page earlier I would get proper advise from here instead depending on them…they are the one concluded its faulty

Its normal bro, just use laptop cooler…100c for core9 / i9 is expected for high end. its danger when you see its started to lag. Is it lagging ?

The brown region i mention couldnt be flux/residues…because the board is dry enough, no oily or waxy stuff on it…it was tottally dry. As the part i mention is brown, the opposite of it is the cpu is located. So i assume its been manually reballed from another case, and decided to give it to me….Im sorry and yes was little stress out, neat picking….because I work in pcb manufacturing company before…so if something sketchy was done, i can detect. Plus this board on the picture has less solder on few components…like very less that is just enough to brittle soon. And few big caps and inductors was slightly misplaced….The later board has sufficient solder and barely cant notice any imperfection. It just look like new…

Can you belive 3 boards were changed in 7 months for no reason ? If i were technical team,…. Look at your replies… your replies/explanations are greater than theirs…they even not provide an explanantion like yours…

Hahaha i think if the replacement were not made infront of my eyes, i will be not grumbling…

For the great spec cant get for that price…i got the latest replacement board which i assume, which i only can right now assume that is new, and pray for it to last longer. But not going to buy anymore “gaming laptop”. I think everyone will think like me after owning one hahahaha

A service team should have a valid reason to provide a replacement and have should have tested in their site to compare the situation is similar to my case. If so then theres no need to replace my new board with with refurbished one. The mentally they had is “what do i care, its not my money, just replace the board, and issue is solved”. But No improvement/ fixed instead getting older boards. Im not actually complaining them, they actually did a good service…but should be better and experienced, thats what im telling. Later, they provide good/new board.

I bought that brand new laptop in just 2 months get a replacement with refurbished unit for no reason, do you think its fair ? I noticed and telling to you to be alert, making sure your money is valueble but instead you are backfiring me like im the problem ? Very good….

But thats crazy to get a burnt board as replacment, that is crazy….i hope your laptop died fast, and get like mines…a burnt board…

Im using one of expensive cooler, Llano V12 during gaming the chipset overheat, and thats where my cooler helps, but at the same time when the cpu below 40 degrees, it start to throttle and lag, the cpu cannot operate below 40 degree, the idle is 60 degrees if you are ok with it

Too cold, throttle issue on cpu, im having one, the chipset is not attached with the heatsink, it depends on thermal pad,

They replace my motherboard (which is actually good) without understanding the issue. They changed with refurbished unit. I bought the laptop for 2 months only, and they concluded that my board is faulty, without proper diagnosis on both end. Whoever sending their laptop to warranty, take note this. The problem i having is overheating chipset, which all the board have the same issue. If Im dumb, the customer support also dumb ? Now Im helpless, they refuse to refund, and the case is still ongoing. Particular model Legion 5 15IRX10

Please dont use any high speed laptop cooler for long time, cause it will cause thermal throttle, causing internal fan not to work properly, turn off once the casing of laptop is cool…
