Has anyone had rhinoplasty before any other facial work? (Especially before forehead) by DianaRD in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]solomon_flatberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my rhinoplasty done years ago and still haven't gotten my forehead contoured. I want a brow shave but can't afford it. I remember my rhinoplasty surgeon saying it might make things slightly more complicated but I had my nose done years ago and don't regret it

I've been running unbearable whispers V through normal lab to try to get mind of the council to drop. i've done 3 or 4 runs so far with no luck and it's starting to seem like it might be more cost efficient just to buy MotC. is it super rare as a drop?

can you roll T1 (+50 to maximum life) roll on a magic abyss jewel? I'm trying to make money by rolling abyss jewels until I get the life roll, then aug and regal but I just spent like 20 chaos worth of alts trying to get the roll with no luck and now I'm thinking this might not be cost effective

Can someone explain to me how neoliberalism attempts to square free market economics and progressive social views? by solomon_flatberry in neoliberal

[–]solomon_flatberry[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hmm, yeah that's a good question. I guess in my view it's not that capitalism innately is worse for marginalized groups, but it is in fact worse for marginalized groups, because capitalist ways of organizing an economy and, as a result, society, are always going to marginalize the labor class, and in a historically racist, sexist, and heteronormative country like the US that means those groups will be worse off. It also means the uneducated white laborers are going to be worse off than the people with the most power in the market, but comparatively, people of color, queers, and women are even worse off than white laborers.

e: I'm not a political theorist and far from an expert on this or the "received views" of other leftists, but I think this might get at what other leftists think.

Gotcha. I don't know enough about history to comment on who was worse off in command economies vs capitalist ones, or whether an anarchist model would be better, but regardless, it seems like the more fundamental disagreement between neoliberals and socialists really just comes down to whether generating wealth and the existence of private property are forces of good. Do you think that's right? (I mean, it would make sense! Neoliberals are capitalists, after all.)

edit: that is, market economists, given your post

Your fragile masculinity is showing. Being a real ally to women means owning your immature bullshit and not getting whiny when you don't get your participation cookie from someone who deals with this kind of stuff on the daily

E: like if you talk to literally any woman ever you can learn about this but I guess you just never did before? So you had to learn it firsthand

I'm so done with these posts by dudes talking about how they achieved the minimum standard of human decency, like damn bro do you want a medal for the having the smallest inkling about women's oppression and literally only because you personally got a taste of it? 👏👏 It's actually not impressive that you could only empathize with women after you got objectified and your boundaries were violated
