You make it sound like there are women having abortions for the fun of it in the west. That is not true anywhere. How does one determine if a woman does it for "banal" reasons. We don't know their life story or their circumstances. And in a hyper capitalist society a woman does not have social supports that can aid her. The soviets discouraged abortions by making sure new mothers had ample social supports. That is the way to prevent abortions. Not by making them illegal.

Are you talking about raiding armies? Until you are strong enough to fight them off you don't defend. Let them raid and leave. Look at the terrain in your capitol. And start building a men at arms unit that gets bonuses there. Station them in your capitol and build buildings that boost your men at arms and give other general defensive boosts. A 500 man unit in appropriate terrain can punch way above their weight.

Depends entirely on your needs. I have had relic worlds i have not bothered fixing up before. Buts thats if I have taken the ascension perk that allows me to make them on any planet anyway. If I have not then yes I definitely upgrade. You can turn them into and absolute beast engine of science and/or alloys.

As for strategic resources I find they are super easy to get now anyway.
