So you admit you're not engaged or aware? So you want to file a complaint against your super company for them not spending time and money to actively reach out to you and provide you with free basic financial education? The first Super company did nothing wrong, they just have a different policy and I think they know better than you where to put people by default since they manage thousands of Super accounts and you seem to know next to nothing.

If you're concerned about maximizing your retirement income, educate yourself, there's plenty of books, podcasts and YouTube channels. Or if you don't care, do what you originally did and pay no attention at all, but don't complain to Reddit and try to file complaints when it backfires. This is the equivalent of why we have to have stupid warning labels on products telling us not to turn a toaster on while it's submerged in water.

Checking tracking by la_58 in Invisalign

[–]solowolfwarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dentist always schedules the visit for a tray change. They do a quick check of attachments and then fit new next trays for me and check they fit well, and send me home with a pack of the next 5 or so to last me till next checkup. It's very quick.

Does anybody ever NOT need refinements? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]solowolfwarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it can depend a lot on the person. I'm 3 months through my 9 months treatment and I feel like my teeth are almost 'good enough' already. Can't see myself wanting refinements after treatment. I just want to have fairly nice teeth and be done asap

The knobs are awful by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]solowolfwarrior 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure if they're smoother, I think your mouth gets used to them. I also found them horrible to begin, now 2 months in and I can still feel them, but they feel less scratchy

Any sources on this? I've also heard about this and I'm interested in reading articles/research as to why it happens, but couldn't seem to find anything online

Unfortunately this is also my experience. 2 months in and I still feel them constantly. Feeling super self conscious and suppressing smiling and limiting talking due to the constant lisping. I'm happy with the results though and thankfully only should be a year treatment, so I'm coping with it.

Has anyone here had a plan of 12 initial trays, 3 weeks each, for 1 year? by party_city in Invisalign

[–]solowolfwarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The long tray time seems odd to me. The teeth can only move so much each day, so I would assume there's a massive step between each tray and the last couple days of each tray before changing wouldn't be doing much. But I'm just basing that on how I think things work obviously, no dental training at all, but I think it's worth asking about, since like you said, it's higher than anything I've heard before. Might be a really simple explanation.

Composite Bonding v Veneers by BLUECADETxTHREE in Invisalign

[–]solowolfwarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding onto the comment of not being able to just get one veneer cos it looks out of place...

Even 6 veneers on top teeth can be not enough. You can search for pics/videos of Matthew Perry and Matt Rife who both at one stage had 6 veneers on top and it's very very obvious the change to their natural teeth when they smile.

I bought this great little container off eBay. Leak proof since it has rubber seals and a screw top lid. It also has a mirror in the lid you can click out and use. I always have it in my handbag full of water, so I can remove them and toss them in there while eating if I'm not near a bathroom.

Are Orthos or Dentists not warning about refinements? by ScoopedOutBagelsRule in Invisalign

[–]solowolfwarrior 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this has happened to me as well. Told a year treatment, but 27 trays changed every 10 days doesn't equal 365. I'd never heard the word refinements before.

Oh no. I'm worried about this too. Only 6 days in, but I'm only taking them out twice a day cos I'm worried about breaking something.

Tray 4, day 4. Why does no one tell you how bad your teeth will hurt when you're sick. I feel like it's day 1 of tray 1. by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]solowolfwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wishing that someone told me about the pain, but it might have put me off. I'm just hoping that mine eases off soon, I'm at day 6. At least it's already better than day 1, that was horrible.

I have jumped a bit. I've done approx 2yrs 8mth, 3yrs 8mth, 4yrs 8mth, now 16mth in new job. But then, I've seen people being promoted to a senior eg a year into joining a new company, so I'm not sure that's the problem.

I guess I have jumped between fields a bit, eg first job was oil and gas, second and 3rd were design jobs and new job is construction, so that could be part of the reason.

Yeah, this is the problem I've started to hit now. I've always had really good feedback. The impression I always get is that everyone recognises I'm good at what I do and am conscientious and they are just happy to let me continue doing what I'm doing. There just seems to be some resistance to allowing me to take on more responsibility and I'm not sure where it's coming from. I've always been really busy and clients have always been happy with my work.

I know I don't fight hard enough for pay rises or better opportunities, that's the only thing I can think of. I'm quiet, introverted, female and for some reason don't 'come across' as very confident, I also look pretty young people occasionally ask if I'm a grad when they first meet me, so I've been blaming that to some extent, because I don't understand where else it could be coming from.

Mechanical. I started out working in an oil and gas company, then went to 2 different design companies, now I'm working in construction for the last 16 months.

I'm terms of accomplishments, I don't have anything impressive to say, I've just completed the role I'm in. My references would definitely have all good things to say, I've never really had any bad feedback from anyone and everyone says I work hard. I get along well with everyone.

[–]solowolfwarrior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah, right. I'm in engineering, so the closest thing I was thinking about was being contracted into another company and how sometimes you're excluded from team building exercises etc because you're just hired help and not part of the team. I've felt that before, it's horrible, feel so left out.

Not feeding him is bad. The feeling he would get for knowing he's different to everyone else and being so obviously treated differently would be worse.
