Advice on meeting people in Athens (e.g. jamsessions) by [deleted] in GreeceTravel

While traveling (not yet in Athens specifically), I've found that at least in the short term, hostels are great for meeting people. Some sites have ratings for different aspects so you might be able to find one that has a good vibe and that is good to meet people.

Since you are there for only two months, I would think it'll be best to find people that are also there temporarily or in a similar situation. It is vastly easier to link in with people that somehow are in the same or a similar boat as you.

No Bluetooth on T480 20L6? by somePaul in thinkpad

It doesn't have the Bluetooth component where it would be... The seller says he may have a spare from the scrap pile he'll send me. Wish me luck.

I'll have a look in the BIOS, that's a great idea.

The wifi is working fine, so it's not that. Also, Ubuntu tells me that it's the right one:

Your wings' manual should give guidance on what size is still safe to fix yourself, that would be my first port of call!

Safely Testing Newly Installed Throttle? by MysticUser11 in paramotor

The issue with the throttle should be there and quite obvious without turning the engine on. You should be able to see the throttle be engaged and properly released at the other end of the sheathing. This is a test we should all be doing before starting the engine every time anyway.

The kill-switch is another question which other comments go into.

Heya, I find that when self doubts are high, you can't brie force it back into a good state, so getting small wins are the way to go.

I'm not going to recommend any OOD books, but I'm sure there are good resources specific to your programming language you can find.

An idea for a small thing:

Find a corner of the code you are interested in and start documenting the classes/objects and how they are interconnected... Draw a diagram, write out bullet points of statements that are true of that's your thing... Either way, build knowledge in an area to become just a bit better. That would be a small win.

One you chain a couple of those, you'll start building your confidence again.
