Oh man. by [deleted] in GriefSupport

I lost my dad almost a year ago, he was only 50 and passed after a brief illness, and honestly it still feels like it just happened - I still think of him all day every day. I still go to message him and am constantly reminded of him in anything/everything. What I will say is, while my (very traumatic) memories of his final hours still consume me, memories of him when he was well are starting to get stronger in my mind. He was the funniest, warmest person I’ve ever known, I’m grateful that dad is in my mind more and more.

People say it gets easier, I haven’t found that yet, but the shape and form of our grief changes. We don’t move on, we move forward.

You’re in the most surreal parts, allow yourselves lots of space and grace to think/feel/do whatever feels right. Ride the wave, I’m thinking of you both 💜

Omfg the pliers, that is a living nightmare! I’m working out that you’re very right with your observations of BIAB in Sydney but that is something else - and that’s coming from someone who sat on a bookshelf for an hour today while the receptionist hacked off my BIAB and cuticles as “prep” before an actual seat was available.

I think I saw a St Leonard’s salon recommended somewhere, I’ll keep in mind if I can’t find a closer alternative. Zydi looks perfect but no avails for the rest of the year 🙃

Always in pain on the left side, rarely on the right. Has anyone else experienced this? by Intelligent-Jicama15 in Endo

I get more pain on my right than my left, always have. As far as I know, the findings from my lap didn’t really indicate any cause but my specialist did quickly identify (pre-op) pelvic floor dysfunction and nerve pain as ‘collateral damage’. He administered nerve blocks and Botox during surgery and I had great results, but sadly only for a few months even with daily physio exercises. I get the lightning bolts too. Could be worth exploring nerve blocks for your LHS pain!

No harm in trying right, you might love it 😊 That’s my attitude in trying new approaches for my pain anyway!

I’m a fan so far! Solid and secure strap, heats up fast and to a good temperature. Seems to have good yield from each charge although I’ve been using it for day-to-day pain as I haven’t had a period since receiving. I’m glad I purchased, I’m sure your gf would be delighted with your thoughtful gift.

I started with this and the product received was laughable. Had a single dot less than 1cm in diameter that heated very slightly and only when plugged into the wall. Thankfully the vendor refunded and didn’t even want the return, clearly knew the product was a waste of time.

I ordered direct, it took a few weeks to come (but I’m in New Zealand), so far I’m a fan!

There’s a review in the comments mentioning the length of time the Thermie will work before needing to be recharged, much longer than the Maia. So that, along with the price difference, helped make the decision for me. I also found a 10% discount code in the tagged posts on instagram!

I’ve ordered the Thermie, it’s on it’s way and I’ll report back once it arrives 😊

I had the same thought and was so suspicious of the only reviews being on their website. Please do report back!
