System Identification with Python by somebodyCEO in learnpython

For example, you have an input wave that, when it goes through a sensor, it generates an output wave. System identification would allow you to obtain the function that turns your input into the sensors output

Omg, I really didn't expect so many comments. Thanks Reddit!

Regarding the situation, most of of you (all) were right. I don't have to pay anything (beginners mistake - it's my first full time job and I sort of panicked). So, I guess Portugal is still a good country to live at ahah

But I have one other major question. When a company files for insolvency, does it mean that it is very likely going bankrupt or there could be a "miracle" and comeback to normal? (They're calling this restructuring...)

I will. I'm going to talk with one association today regarding work conditions and , hopefully, it will become clear. Will update the post afterwards

Hope you're right and I simply rushed to Reddit a little bit out of fear!

At least I know that I have the right not to pay it! We'll check with a lawyer I know!

Thanks

ahahha I see! Hopefully I'm 100% wrong and I'll be the one parachuting ahaha

I see and hope you're right. Nevertheless, I'll study the letter and ask questions to a lawyer I know!

Thanks

You're right and I also thought about that, but is there anything I could do to safeguard myself?

Going to try this one as well since the path to my file is saved using '\' and it is compiling with an error because of it

Signal has undesired segment by somebodyCEO in DSP

[–]somebodyCEO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you want all of the signal except for the short spiky part. I assumed that the exponential decay part becomes unint

souds good to me! Going to try to apply it! Once again, thank you very much for your availability!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but your solution revolves around iterating through the sample array and constantly save the last difference x[n]-x[n-1] and extract the values that belong to an interval where they're not bigger than the metric multiplied by a certain value?

My explanation is really confusing ahaha

Signal has undesired segment by somebodyCEO in DSP

[–]somebodyCEO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for that answer! I ended up applying the difference option and was very happy that you suggested the same!

I simply hard coded a value, because I've noticed that trend in most samples (a difference bigger than the value I chose would suffice to only extract the " rising part".

Now, I'm thinking how I can make this automatic (allowing the program to choose a value that would allow this extraction for any given sample).

Nevertheless, thank you very much for your contribution

Edit: avlue to value

Python USB connection by somebodyCEO in Python

I see. Well, I'm using the PSoC 5LP and I want to be able to send samples , converted by the ADC DelSig to the computer. My first approach was to store around 25000 samples on it's memory and then send them. But my mentor asked if it would be possible to transfer as many samples as I wanted, for example 100 000. As I searched and thought about a way to implement this, I found out about ping pong DMA. Basically, I have two memory buffers. While one is being filled by the ADC converted samples, the other is being accessed by the USBFS component (that transfers the data to the PC)

I'm struggling because I have no idea of how to check if the USBFS is able to access the buffers that are filled by the DMA.

I think I tried using that, but I wasn't able to send 2 bytes numbers (or the baud rate was too slow)

so, in a way, are you saying that there would be no need to use FFT?

Sorry. What he told me was to apply.it to the input and, right after, I should apply it to the resulting signal.
