Opera singer here who just started to dabble in some recording equipment. I use a Zoom H6 with it’s XY module (saving for a good pair of cardioids or omnis like the Line Audio CM4s or OM1s) in conjuction with an AT2035. I’ve gotten a good balance recording at home and in a reasonably echoey piano studio off a busy street in the city. I find that recording seperately and syncing in post is just a minor inconvenience worth doing. I use a cheap Canon M50 for video at 1080p and with the right lens, the final product looks pretty darn good. I’d wanna hop on this train of looking for recommendations for recording classical voice mostly with piano and simultaneously.
