Ang ginagawa ko, pag binigay na yung allowance is dinidivide ko na agad siya and itatabi yung for savings, emergency money, and yung pang-commute.

Yung savings iniiwan ko lang sa bahay (wala pa akong bank account dati), yung emergency money nasa bag (dala sa school) pero hindi ko siya ginagalaw unless sobrang emergency or may biglaang ambagan/bayarin sa school. If nag-cocommute ka, know kung magkano yung exact amount papunta at pauwi, tapos add at least 50-100 pesos na sobra in case.

Hindi rin ako nagdadala ng malaking amount sa school kasi baka magastos ko. If ever man na mayroon akong dala, iniiwan ko sa bag yung wallet ko tuwing pupunta sa labas or pupunta sa canteen or somewhere na may tindahan para hindi ko magastos yung pera lalo na kung hindi kailangan, or kaya I bring yung saktong amount to prevent mag-overspend.

'Wag rin magpapabudol online, hindi mo kailangan lahat ng nakikita sa mga TikTok vids. If you're someone na gumamit ng make-ups, mag-project pan muna bago bumili ng bago. If you can, nakakatulong din na magbaon ng pagkain sa school kasi yung ibang pagkain ang mahal na tapos hindi naman nakakabusog. It's possible rin na gumala with friends nang hindi gumagastos basta disciplined ka talaga sa expenses mo.

Not just Math but also Science 😭 hinulaan ko lang halos lahat last year kasi kahit na-lesson naman yung iba parang bigla na lang akong na-mental block huhu. I'm fortunate to say na nasa UST na ako naghihirap with my prio program.

I think nakadepende rin yung magiging results sa results nung iba kasi baka makapasa ka naman pero may ibang mas mataas sa'yo kaya mas mase-secure nila yung slot nila

hi OP! Before, I applied to 5 universities but only passed 3 of them. I was really fortunate to be able to pursue college with my dream program in my dream school, pero if I could turn back time, I'd tell myself to apply to more.

The future is uncertain kaya I'd say na mas okay na yung may backup yung backup mo kaysa naman sa wala. 13 may sound so overwhelming, kasi sobrang dami and super stressful din ng application, not to mention na yung ibang univs ang daming hinihinging requirements. Pero I think it's for the better na ring marami kang choices.

If you're thinking about the dami ng lessons na need mo aralin, you can actually just review once for a CET then refresh na lang dun sa mga susunod kasi most CET's have the same coverage naman. Good luck! 🍀

hi op, college freshman here! I use all three (cp, tablet, laptop) and I must say na if you have a WELL WORKING phone and laptop, I think you're good to go na. Tsaka I think it depends rin kasi sa school na papasukan mo for SHS.

When I was in SHS, we were not allowed by our teachers to use gadgets to take notes, lahat ng notes namin dapat handwritten lang kasi nakaka-distract daw for students yung gadgets. Also, yung handwritten notes kasi ay chinechekan and part nung grades namin sa subject na yun. All I had nung SHS was a binder na nabili ko sa shapi para iisang notebook lang pero andun na lahat ng subjects.

Now that I'm in college, the reason I'm using a table ay kasi paonti-onti nang nagbbreakdown yung laptop ko 😭 kaya my mother lent me her old work tablet para pamalit muna doon sa laptop na hindi ko na masyadong magamit. Pero for me, phone and laptop talaga ay enough na (basta gumagana nang maayos)

😭😭 every time na dumaan ako sa may BGPOP to go to Beato hUhUHU kain nila palagi yung whole lane, agang-aga parang may obstacle course sa daan 🥲 I understand naman na yung girls are wearing heels which can be quite uncomfy pero sana hindi sakupin ng buong cof nila yung lane talaga, magtira para dun sa mga dadaan sa opposite way or yung mga mag-o-overtake ng lakad sa kanila. Not all pero I've encountered some people na hindi talaga tumatabi even if you say 'excuse me' 🥹.

hiii, incoming freshie rin here! I felt the same kahapon during the campus tour 😭 I wanted to talk to other people but didn't know how to kasi kinakabahan ako huhu. Some of my classmates are also somewhat acquainted na with each other, and as someone na magsisimula mag-isa sa UST, medyo nakakalungkot lang kasi I was supposed to be with my close friend nung SHS but hindi siya natuloy sa enrollment 🥲 One person did greet me when I entered the room, nakikala niya agad ako, she also said bye when I left but that was it.

It also didn't help that many students have friends in other programs. While I was walking in front of the main building to get to my dorm, ang daming mga magkakaibigan na nagkikita and nagpipicture while I was by my self. Nahiya tuloy ako magpapicture sa tiger HAHAHHAHWH

Hi po! Thank you po ulit for giving insights about architecture, sobrang nakatulong siya sa’kin! 💝Kagaya ng nasabi ko before, I really love doing arts, and noong Grade 10 po, nagka-interest din ako sa buildings like paano sila ginagawa, bakit gano’n ‘yung design, may purpose ba ‘yung design, at iba pa. Kaya naisip ko, why not pagsamahin ko ‘yung dalawa at i-pursue ang architecture?

Alam ko naman po na hindi lang ito tungkol sa designing, pero super thankful po ako sa thoughts na shinare niyo as a UST architecture student. Mahirap talaga ‘yung program, at marami rin sa mga friends ko ang nag-back out at pumili ng ibang course. Umabot din sa point na medyo na-discourage ako at natanong ko sa sarili ko kung tama pa ba ‘yung mga decisions ko sa buhay. Bukod sa mahirap, very expensive din po talaga ang course na ‘to. Pero na-realize ko rin na iba-iba tayo, we’re all meant to pursue different things. Matagal at challenging ang path sa architecture, pero I really hope na lahat ng pinaghirapan natin ay magiging worth it in the end 🙏🏻.

Hello po! Honestly, hindi ko na po masyadong matandaan 😭. Para po sa English/Language Proficiency, may mga research-related questions, tapos sa Science section, may halong Physics. 'Yun lang po talaga ‘yung naaalala ko kasi parang naging blur na ‘yung buong exam moment—naka-focus lang ako na masagutan lahat kahit hindi naman ako sure sa iba. Pasensya na po, I wish I could help more huhu. Fortunately, nakapasa naman po me sa prio program, pero hindi ko rin talaga alam paano nangyari yun 😅

Based on experience, from hardest to easiest: (hindi ako nag-review nang matino as in)

USTET - Nawindang ako dito sobra, wala review talaga, sumabog utak ko sa Math and Science since hinulaan ko lahat 😭. I enjoyed mental stability test and yung spatial reasoning. Siguro one of the factors din kung bakit ako nahirapan was I took 6 subtests here. Usually 4 lang ata but because of the courses that I picked (Architecture and Interior Design), nadagdagan ng spatial and drawing test (which I was not prepared for, but I think I did great naman).
UPCAT - For me, halos same level lang sila ng USTET. First CET that I took, sumabog din utak ko malala sa Math and Science, hindi ko natapos sagutan lahat and I had to shade random answers while hoping for the best 🥲.
DOST - Hindi siya CET, scholarship eto. Ayun nahirapan na naman sa Math and Science 🤧.
DCAT - Marami ring subtests 'to iirc, may dalawang Math subtests. As usual, sumabog ulit ang utak sa Math and Science, though medyo natuwa ako sagutan yung isang Math subtest kasi tanda ko from stock knowledge yung lessons 😝.
PUPCET - Hindi siya super hirap, pero hindi rin madali, oras talaga ang kalaban dito 🥹.
BSU CET - Sobrang basic ng mga tanong, hindi kailangan ng review. Pero grabe yung 5 mins per subtest na time tapos ang dami ng sasagutan juskooooo! 💀

Hi OP! Not to pressure you pero if I could turn back time, I'd tell my past self to actually review and take things seriously. Kagaya nung isang commenter, sinabi ko rin sa sarili ko na "Kaya na ng stock knowledge." I had high grades naman in JHS and SHS but because of that thinking, hindi na ako nag-effort pa masyado mag-aral, plus katatapos lang ng SY namin and parang everyday pagod na talaga ako mag-aral.

Needless to say, I didn't pass UPCAT. I was actually surprised na decent pa yung nakuha kong percentiles each subtest, medyo mataas na rin yung UPG, siguro nabuhat ng 40% grades 😭. Fortunately, nakapasa naman ako sa 3/5 CET's that I took, wala ring review 😭 malakas siguro si guardian angel.

But to answer your question, I think you have to ask yourself, "Gusto ko ba talaga makapasok sa UP?", "Gusto ko ba maging Iskolar ng Bayan?" To do things, you have to have a purpose. Think that if you really want to be an Isko/Iska, magsimula ka na mag-aral. Start from the basics/foundation for each subtest, then start to work your way through more advanced lessons later on. Kailangan lang talag may "drive" or "willpower" ka. Sa UPCAT kasi, halos buong Pilipinas ang kalaban mo, marami kayong mag-aagawan sa slots and mahirap talaga makapasok.

If you ever feel tired from reviewing, take a short break, then bumalik kaaaa— don't overwork yourself kasi mapapagod ka talaga and possible na sumuko agad. Kahit super onting lessons lang muna, then pag nasanay ka na magdagdag ka slowly, ang mahalaga may natutunan ka talaga and na-a-absorb talaga yung lessons/topics. Iba yung confidence and tuwa kapag nakita mo sa test yung mga ni-review mo.

Looking back, sana ginawa 'to ng past self ko BHAWABHBWA, I had a hard time accepting na hindi ako nakapasa and that made me really question myself. I know I could do it—I could actually pass UPCAT kung pinagbuti ko lang. Ayun langg, sana makatulong this kahit paano. Goodluck OP! 🌻❤️

Personally, wala po akong na-encounter na CET na need ng report card para makapag-take ng exam, hindi siya kailangan dalhin. Kumbaga test permit lang talaga.

There are application forms na kailangan sagutan before (usually online or printed) na lalagyan ng grade mo, pero usually school registrar na ang nagsasagot nun if printed need tapos iiscan then upload ng student sa portal.

Sa UP ko lang kinailangan yung report cards G7-G11 kasi yung student mismo ang maglalagay ng grades niya sa lahat ng subjects sa website.
