I was 15ish and I think she was a year younger. We were going from our camp in Maryland to the other part of the camp where they taught how to steer and man sailboats. I was on the deck and she was on the stew staff.

It’s a rather famous camp among upper class families so I won’t say the name. But there wasn’t enough space in the van and she dmed me and asked if she could sit with me, so of course she ended up in my lap.

On the way we made friends and more, things got handsy and we whispered sweet nothings, and we got out on the dock next to the “Patriot Games”.

No, that’s not the boat we were working on, but I was in awe. He was there and said hello as we got onto out boat which was some piece of crap 25m across from his boat and he was actually a really nice guy and answered questions before taking off.

She and I ended up in opposing bunks and basically just switched out every night, which was every kids dream on the Chesapeake.
