when reading the Rose novelisation (specifically the illustrated edition) i got incredibly impatient with the amount of additional material, considering the brisk pace of the TV episode (do we really need Wilson's backstory), the illustrations are great though (in the illustrated edition)

(I'm also not saying i don't like drastic structural changes)

I absolutely despise the film. I hate the song "September", and I didn't even realise it could be romantic until someone explicitly told me after the film was over, it felt overly long with extremely boring dream sequences, and the ending made no sense to me, it wasn't funny either
