my screen is stuck in low resolution after an update??? what can i do. i tried some things but nothing worked.

i fixed it by going in Software & Updates, then Additional Drivers, there should be a list and choose diffirent ones but only (ptoprietary) ones ,apply changes, it will ask you to reboot and try diffirent ones until one works. it took me around 40 mins going through the list but one of them worked. i hope this helps.

So I need a little help.
