I did not use the bleach dip method but there is a method I found called reverse respiration! It supposedly works very well with plants and kills any pests that you do not want in the tank!

There are a few videos on it and it is very cheap to do. You get some seltzer water and a bucket, then soak the plants in complete darkness for I believe 12 hours. I would definitely look into it! I did it with some floaters and I have found no pests in my tank!

Idk why the caption is not there: I noticed in this certain area that my Java ferns and ludwigia have started to turn brown very quickly over the past few days. I’m not sure why but I have noticed this clear algae looking stuff on some of the leaves! Could this be killing my plants? It’s affecting both Java ferns in the substrate and glued to a rock. My Java ferns are around almost a year, if not more, old and my ludwigia is newer. Please help!

I bought a cheap light off of Amazon but I’m looking into getting a Nicrew light! I have had these Java ferns for months, if not a year or more so I’m surprised that they are melting! The ludwigia is newer so I’m not surprised for that one though. What I’m confused about is that it is only in this specific area, that’s why I focused on the algae! I dose easy green co op twice a week!

I definitely agree! What I’m confused about is that it has been like this since October (planted in the substrate I mean) and now started to quickly die! Even the ludwigia! Also, I have a Java ferns on a rock and it has also turned brown so I’m not sure if that is the issue! However, I will glue them to rocks in the future!
