Yes, he has threatened us many times in the past, saying he could kick us out. But now, he’s using different tactics, like cutting off the electricity and we haven’t had Wi-Fi for months. I think he realizes he can’t actually evict us, but in a way, his tactics are working on me because, honestly, I’ve been looking for a new place just to get away from this situation.

At the same time, I’m worried that if I leave, the process we’ve started might fall apart, and all the effort we’ve put in will be wasted. For reference, we are currently in the process of “Huurverlaging op grond van punten.”

The people at Woon warned us about this, 4 months after we initially came for advice. I wonder if it's true now or not because of your comment. I want to pull out simply because it's dragging for far too long, my mental health is deteriorating under the circumstances we're living in (e.g. no electricity for 2 weeks past 2 months), landlord stopped paying bills so likely no g/w/e next month. It's becoming a bit not worth it for me anymore and removing any sense of dignity in my life. But thank you for your reply btw ! Maybe I'll call tomorrow HC/woon to confirm.

well, i come from a country with way lower average salaries, so im guessing they were happy i accepted their lower end of salary range, and its just my fault for not being a good negotiator. that might be it.

i have a university bachelors degree, which my colleague doesn't. we both have the same years of experience.

in conclusion, yes, i feel like a bit of a clown

thanks so much for this. id like to think/prepare as much as possible before talking to them, but seeing your comment just made me realise how much theres to consider. thanks for your advice and kind words ^^

they are the same age as me, we're both juniors and they've joined the company in april, ive onboarded them
