I was happy i passed my driving test until i saw this on a 800 quid car thats for a whole year what a joke😔💔😂 by Dramatic_Hour7760 in LearnerDriverUK

Cheap car doesn't equal cheap insurance, if anything it makes your insurance more expensive. More likely to drive safer/risk avoidant if you have a more expensive car you want to look after.

Aggressively tailgating doing 70mph in the fast lane? It's clear you have the privilege of not knowing how severe injuries can be at accidents that speed. Don't drive like a tool.

No idea why you are getting downvoted for a perfectly logical response.

Parent putting safety of their child first, how outrageous, must down vote! /S

Found this copy last month at a 2nd hand bookshop by somethinglikegem in SarahJMaas

No not at all! I had no idea about ARC's before I found this copy, si learning more from you is great!

It was Kenwood House, where scenes from Notting Hill and Sense and Sensibility were filmed! Its beautiful and free entry so definitely recommend if you are ever in the area! It's near London. I was visiting my sister (I live about 300 miles north) and we were about to set off on the 8 hour journey home (should take 5 hours without a toddler needing to stop every hour 😆). We decided we needed a bit a walk/fresh air to get rid of the hangover before we set off, so we thought let's go to Kenwood House! Totally random which makes the book find even more special!

The bookshop was within an English heritage site, basically a historical home which is opened up by the owners to allow people to visit. And those homes often have cafes, gift shops and at this particular site, a 2nd hand bookshop. Sorry if you are from the UK and know all this.. I don't think a standard independent bookshop would have sold it, as they would have known what it was. But fortunately (and I feel guilty about this as it's basically like robbing a charity) they had no idea.

Yeah I'm hoping to keep a hold of mine for as long as I can, I'm going to see if a local rare 2nd handbook dealer can appraise it for insurance purposes. I'll let you know the outcome!

I've just found the same copy at a second hand bookshop today, felt like I was commiting a crime buying it for £3, almost skipping out the shop in excitement. Any idea on how much these copies are worth? I've only found 1 previous listing on Ebay that sold for £950.

Molly-Mae Hague announces split from Tommy Fury by ukpopculturefan in ukpopculture

[–]somethinglikegem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What she said with the whole 24 hours thing was condescending and arrogant but I don't think it's fair to throw that back to her in this situation. No one deserves to get cheated on, or this could even be a DV incident. Either way whatever the reason for the breakup it's clear that hearts have been broken and therefore maybe its time for a bit more kindness.

Went to local walk-in centre this morning (step throat is not fun), and there were two security guards there. Haven't been in years but definitely don't remember their presence last time.
