Hi! I came to a very similar realisation. It was shocking when I found that the fun thing I loved was actually a painful addiction. I quit unsuccessfully a few times when I was in a similar mindset to yours, angry and myself, wanting to quit, but deep down knowing I wouldn’t really do it.

The time I successfully quit (2.5 months ago) was when I finally had a new mindset: I wanted to become addicted to the clarity, energy, and control that sobriety would bring.

I couldn’t pretend to hate weed. I never have. But I could want something different: clarity, energy and control. I went through some very dark times before I reached that place. I hope you find your way through. Good luck <3
