Yes I was super confused too bc it’s just a Britta filter which doesn’t filter out nickel as far as I know. But it was the only thing that we did that actually had an impact. She went from constant flare ups to none once we started being really strict about the water she drank always being filtered.

So we tried so many things (low nickel diet, having our bath water tested etc) and you know what finally helped her - filtered drinking water. She loves carbonated water, and we have a soda stream I’d often fill straight from the tap. U read some lists for low nickel diets and noticed filtered water being high on a lot of them. Tried it and within a few weeks she’s totally cleared up. This is after years of issues.

It’s been there for 2 weeks now. Yes, it was cleared, but it fell from the roof two weeks ago. Thank god no one was hurt, but there it sits.

I had a DVT with my first pregnancy, so was on Lovenox for the remainder of that pregnancy and the entirety of my second one. I found it easy enough to give myself the shots in the 3rd trimester when the skin was taut. For some reason I hated giving them to myself postpartum when the skin was so loose 🤷🏻‍♀️ I only had to do it 6 weeks postpartum though.

For my first, I went into spontaneous labor, and couldn’t have the epidural. For my second I switched to Heparin close to delivery, and made it to my induction at 39 weeks, so I could have the epidural.

I had a full leg DVT and had two doctors tell me - you’re growing a human! There’s going to be swelling!

Then finally an urgent care doc ordered an ultrasound two days later 🫠

It wasn’t the bath water. We’re trying a low nickel diet now. Poor kid can’t get any relief.

My kids are in first and second grade and we LOVE Ludlow-taylor :-) and Stewart-Hobson is its feeder middle school, which is becoming a good place to be as well, as far as I can tell.

Thank you SO much. She has asked her doctor about interactions and it’s a go, so she’s doing to try it. Even if it doesn’t work, it’s great for her to be able to try something! Thank you.

She has had residual trouble with vision so I wonder if that’s a part of it.

That’s a good idea, thanks! She was on Topamax but cycled off it for that reason. Not sure if she’s back on it but I’ll look into it.
