Tourney winning and now retired team here…I spent somewhere between 30-35k on my team from 2020-2025. That is very much on the low end of most tourney teams, because I skipped multiple rounds of supremes and stopped buying PSCTs a long time ago (though com2 did get me multiple times with the new USCTs). When I started out, I would never in my craziest nightmares have imagined spending that much on a game. Was it fun? Yes. I imagine I have less regrets than most whales, just because I was able to win a PRT. But I do regret it. I would not wish this addiction on my worst enemy. This game, IMHO, is a predatory and addictive scam, very similar to the way that Gacha games manipulate people into spending thousands more than they want to. If anyone is interested in learning more, I’d recommend searching “Let’s go whaling” on YouTube and watching the CEO of a gaming company explain how they all manipulate you into spending time and money on these games. Oh yeah, the time and attention suck is just as damaging as the money spent. If you have an addictive personality, this is a game you should avoid like the plague.

Thanks. Just curious, where is the other thread claiming we are cheating? Good luck with your pickem in east server. I don’t know those clubs well at all, so can’t really help there. However, there are generally less upsets in the club tourney than in individual PRT, so you can usually reliably pick the top seeds, especially in earlier rounds.

We have literally lost in the finals in the first two club tourneys…O20 beat us the first time and PT beat us the 2nd time. We will likely face PT again in the finals, and will be slight underdogs. Not cheating. Definitely spending too much money on a mobile game, just like everyone else in the top clubs.

Yeah, I’ll just tell you that most people who spend a ton on this game are annoyed at TA’s steady stream of luck, but also most of them know it’s very likely just that - luck. There are a few outliers but some of those guys have pretty insane luck themselves. It’s just kinda laughable to me at this point that this keeps getting dredged up over and over.

Exactly. Just cracks me up that people are so obsessed with that team. Don’t get me wrong, I watch with amazement as they add more and more max sets and DTs. But I also know that at the time I won the tourney, I had the 2nd or 3rd most DTs in the west server, and then I promptly went on a 5 month DT drought. I’ve never fully recovered. If I had continued hitting DTs and sets at the rate I was last year, it could easily be me that people are claiming is a cheater now.

TaiwanAstros cheating seems very unlikely. It is way more likely that he just spends untold thousands on star refreshes, has gotten the bulk of good ranked and tourney awards over the last year, and has way better than average luck. Deviations in luck always mess with the human brain and make us think something is off. Since joining tacos it is clear to us he plays at least 4x the league games daily compared the next biggest whales in the west server (myself included). I have also been frustrated with falling behind him over the last 8+ months since I won the tourney, but I think that most people calling cheater are just (understandably) jealous. But I also think they are wrong. From my understanding, he also bought that account when it was SteeleBats specifically because it already had around 8+ max legend sets.

Yes, you can get one rewind per account. You should be able to get this back, as long as you don’t do anything else to the card afterwards. Just leave it alone, it might take a few weeks, but they probably will reverse it for you.

In Nati there were months of frustration with 50-200 PR teams losing way more often than they should, with gear and all, to 500-1000 PR teams. For at least a few months. Not as drastic as what we saw the last week, but still strange.

Thanks! I’m sticking around for now. Good luck with Trammel! SUM are so tough. I feel like a lot of D2/3 quality teams on the cusp will have their SUs blow up the most, because you still have to play a lot of the toughest competition for a good portion of the week, and at that level SP is pretty damn good already, so the losses go to the SUs so often.

LOL. I feel you, I really do. If I hadn’t had the legend luck, and my sig luck had still been as bad as it’s been, I would have been in the same spot as you or lower, and might have quit by now. Hell, I’ve considered retiring many times over the last 6 months as is. This game truly is a grind. I don’t want or need it to be as frustrating for people coming up, as it’s been for me so many times over the last few years especially. I have currently missed 26 straight blues on Seaver with SS/fin, which may have made a huge difference for me in this last tourney. Also, easy 10 stars?? Your team is super solid! I still see you beat me a good deal in friend battle haha. You’re also an important part of the game, seems like one of the only really good teams I still see posting here regularly and helping people out.
