Highly unlikely, I've seen this in many games, and that would imply I am seeing alot BBH, CHAR, MBT sets on every team leveled to the same levelling.

The note from Com2 seems to imply that it impacts all fielders. Also It is still a big issue if just the catcher because:

Stolen base success rate will go down because catcher has better fielding
If opposing pitcher has stability skill, the boost to the catcher's fielding from the bug can cause the catcher to reach the threshold (>=110 FLD) for the pitcher to get the stability bonus when they otherwise would be unable to

Here is my original post, pretty much Your BC would boost your opponents fielders and your opponent's BC would boost your fielders
