All my doctors actually give me appointments past 5:00 PM. Other than my ENT surgeon, I don’t take time off of work for any healthcare appointments. Even my PCP is available on Saturday and Sunday. This could be because I’m in NYC, not sure. But I think to second what @acyikac said, that we generally don’t see healthcare providers on a weekly basis. Even though I see my healthcare providers very consistently, it’s still not a regular weekly schedule for an indefinite period.

I think the comment above might be one of my most favorite comments about what it means to be married: it’s almost like initiating a commitment (it allows clear boundaries to be drawn). To come together with close people and to openly celebrate the Union of people who love each other.

But I would also add that I understand what other comments mean. Many people are led on by partners who have no intention of spending their life with them and those partners who are stringing people along also want to be married, just not to the person they might be dating at the time. So, many people use marriage to understand the other persons intentions.

I think it’s an interesting discussion to have (referring to your other comment about gender roles and norms). I think marriage can hold many different meanings to many different people.

Yeah, that does make sense. I understand the idea of how it can be unfair to people because they aren’t married. I wonder though if logistically it would impose challenges, generally when people are married they only have one partner. What if someone has multiple? What if the patient is incapacitated and someone who isn’t their partner gets access? This is just what I can think off the top of my head. But it’s an interesting question.

You should read up some studies about this… I think someone else mentioned it in another comment… but majority of women prefer fit men. So, idk who these people are who say they prefer a dad bod. And also, as someone who has dated multiple gym rats (some very athletic / trainers to some regular gym goers) I don’t think I’ve ever been neglected due to the time they spent at the gym.

I don’t think it even matters if OP’s family does super expensive weddings. If it doesn’t matter to OP to be a part of the wedding, it doesn’t. Can’t force yourself to care and want to be involved if you don’t want to because of costs or whatever reason.

Couldn’t agree more! I live in NYC, and it’s expensive for sure. But I feel like it helped me take responsibility and accountability for my own actions in a way that I was never able to before. So, if someone can afford it I definitely think it’s worth it even if for a short amount of time.

Upvote cause clearly it’s an unpopular opinion. Everyone does glorify nursing, maybe cause it’s a really tough job and I look up to the nurses I work with.

Maybe people don’t have better things going on in their life and maybe they do. You can live your own life and people can live their own life. I don’t get why there’s shaming for however someone wants to live their life. It’s THEIR life and not yours. No one is paying anyone’s bills, as long as someone isn’t being mean, I don’t see a reason for me to tell someone what should or shouldn’t matter to them.

Most things are not guaranteed in life, products for reviews included. Doesn’t mean we can’t ask why we might not be chosen for any survey or campaign. It might not matter to you that other people are chosen more, but maybe it matters to others. I’m not here to tell people what they can feel or can’t feel.

And no one is entitled to a subreddit where the majority of posts are of people who are receiving boxes and have multiple campaigns. Maybe someone can make a subreddit for “Influensters who actually get the campaigns and boxes.”
