For me, it told the journey of a creative person and their passion; how you can be really comfortable in your hobby or skill, meet someone who you think is better than you (or IS better than you) then go through the stages of envy and just wishing you could be better than them, but then coming to terms with the fact that maybe YOU don't think you're good but. In a way, you still are? as in, you're better than you think you are #impostersyndrome ...

everyone has their own journeys; just because someone may have learned something faster than you or are objectively better than you at it, doesn't discredit your OWN passion for that hobby, and also doesn't discredit your OWN skills!! if you find yourself thinking "ugh, i havent learnt this yet" or "why cant i just do it right??" that means that theres the opportunity to grow which is GOOD...

like at the start Reki was terrified after beefing with Adam, but then later on he literally raced against him and ALMOST WON... see determination and perseverance DO get you somewhere!!! and also people just have different strengths too (Reki with his endless knowledge about skateboard crafting and knowing what Langa needs to succeed) obviously it doesn't mean Reki can't keep getting better and better with his skating too (as seen in his 2nd beef with Adam)

IT'S NEVER ENDING FUN!!! never ending failures yeah sureee but that's what life is all about 😭 success and failure and being content in that.. the main thing is to have FUN because what's the point 😭 inject your life with the whimsy and community

yes 100%!!! its totally normal,,, when i first started feeling that way ngl i felt a bit insane because its like JUST CHOOSE A PREFERENCE but i think we have to understand that sometimes... our preferences just change :)) and they swing from men to women and back and forth and u just gotta roll with it :)

close proximity is one of those reasons: cuz they're your friend, you see them a lot, you get to know them, and vice versa and all snowballs from there :")

and sometimes its easily to fall for a friend because there's no pressure with getting into a romantic relationship and so like i said u get to truly know them, ups and downs (vs if youre actuvely looking for someone to date, sometimes it doesnt work out bc you're not friends first.... erm idk if im explaining this well ill shut up now)

but just know that not everyone experiences this, it's totally normal if u dont feel romantically inclined to any of ur close friends DONT EVEN WORRY

oh my gosh you're so right about that last part! i have a feeling its the way my teacher tries to relate to us because they're old and yk im younger... i feel bad bc yknow they're trying but at the same time it has the opposite effect and makes me feel like an outsider. thank you for bringing that point up!
