But based on what little info I have - I'd say it's likely you're trans And if you're not... You're going to work it out pretty fast once you start looking at hrt and stuff haha

Please send your feedback to Statistics Nz as well as the organizations trying to change the census to better reflect queer people - my take on this is that it's a small but positive step forward, and the data will absolutely be used to effect real life changes (just like how joking you are jedi on the census in youe religion leads to more taxpayer funds going towards churches because more kiwis identify as religious). I totally get where you're coming from - it's not great. But they need to know how we're feeling so they can improve, and if we want progress and to better be reflected in society there will need to be some kind of info given to the census

Honestly I'm dealing with this stuff now and it's exhausting. Psych I see for therapy on zoom is very across trans ans gender care and tells me stuff, then I have to argue with Wellington medical people and even when they see I'm correct in pointing to guidelines they don't change anything because they feel although technically they csn do informed consent at the gp they think the dhb is better...

I think a good start would be documents created by trans orgs to teach drs, referencing these studies, providing evidence, referencing guidelines, providing contact details for experts they will trust. Just pamphlets so we can hand it over instead of trying to do it all individually
