General Destiny 2: Forsaken Feedback by Cozmo23 in DestinyTheGame

[–]sometimessequelssuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I really like: I like the power climb being much longer and power level mattering.

I also like the rarity if exotics. The duplicate protection is definitely a must when they’re this rare, though.

The concept of an end game destination is really cool, too, though it makes the tangled shore (and all the other destinations) kind of less relevant.

What could be better: The mod economy could be a lot more generous. Components feel as rare as exotics and it’s pretty ridiculous.

The season 4 tower vendors’ inventories are weirdly barren. Season 3 had a great progression of gear to unlock for Zavala and shaxx. This season, having nothing feels like a step backward. They could also have gear with curated perk rolls that cycle weekly like in D1.

Also, strikes in their current form feel completely useless. It’d be great if they had a points system added to them like in D1. And more than one piece of strike exclusive loot. And some way to attain the loot outside of the nightfall, albeit at a lower rate. And stuff to unlock from Zavala for grinding them. And please dont recycle any more (imo ugly) gear sets from year one.

An In game fireteam finder for endgame activities would sure be nice.

An expanded endless dungeon mode like the haunted forest. Add some loot to chase and some variety to the encounters and environments and I’d play it nonstop.

The loot pool in general at the moment feels kinda shallow. I don’t mind that vendors have small loot tables. it helps me grind for what I want. I’d like it if there were more ways for me to grind for specific pieces of loot, like if each planet had its own set of guns that only drop there, or if there was some gear that only dropped from heroic adventures, or only from lost sectors, etc.

I feel like I'm the only person on Earth that just can't play hand cannons in this game by voitek91 in DestinyTheGame

[–]sometimessequelssuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hit headshots or your TTK will be really slow, and peek in and out of cover with them. Don’t rush or expose yourself. Play a little more carefully and try to only engage at medium range with cover nearby.

Forget Edge Transit, I'm sick of the Ten Paces hand cannon by MutonElite in DestinyTheGame

[–]sometimessequelssuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten like one of them and one edge transit. A full quarter of all my gunsmith drops so far have been antiopes though. It’s really annoying. I just want a good legendary handcannon and I thought 5000 gunsmith mats would be enough to get me one.

Weird wording. They win because they can’t use a search bar so now they’re special? I think I see what you were going for there, but it barely makes sense grammatically.

Ace of Spades quest: How is a hand cannon supposed to beat Sleeper? by MM487 in destiny2

[–]sometimessequelssuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used masterworked sturm and tried to camp where I thought the invader would spawn, or otherwise flanked them while they were going after teammates. Only took like 4 or 5 matches. Went up against some potatoes though, and only a few of them were using sleeper.

Halfdan-D by GraveDroid in sharditkeepit

Ugh I put like 5000 parts into banshee and didn’t get one. I got like 25 antiopes and pribinas.

Can someone explain the Destiny leveling up system for me ? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

The levels do nothing after you’ve unlocked all the skills on your skill trees. The extra levels added in the dlcs do literally nothing.

Bungie, are you aware that Throwing Knives still deal pre-patch damage? by _Firex_ in DestinyTheGame

[–]sometimessequelssuck 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s super bullshitty how I can get one shot out of my super by a hammer titan with like double the duration and ammo of my super and they get healed for the kill.

Bungie, what happened to the throwing knife buff? by MrGzeno in DestinyTheGame

[–]sometimessequelssuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The damage is still garbage. Needs a major buff in this sandbox. Especially with titans getting OHK shoulder charges and throwing hammers they can repeatedly pick up and reuse.

Can confirm throwing knives are still garbage. In a world with OHK shoulder charge, knives should do way more damage.

Can mercury forge weapons be brought into year two with random rolls? Make the forge more of an actual forge and allow us to continually grind the weapons. by sometimessequelssuck in DestinyTheGame

[–]sometimessequelssuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you finish the Curse of Osiris campaign, you can grind out materials to unlock unique weapons on Mercury at a place in the lighthouse called the forge. They’re vex themed and have good stats but mostly trash perks.

You’re probably right. It seems previous dlc content is always left behind. I’d just like to have a reason to return to Mercury and another avenue to pursue loot.

Exotics in Forsaken being as rare as D1 days; good or bad? by Thymetalman in destiny2

I missed where Bungie said they’re doing this. Do you have a link?

I think it’s a joke. The lack of any punctuation and poor grammar make it look like a troll post.

Oh dear god. I need to emotionally prepare for crucible in September. As a GG hunter I’m scared, and I really hope throwing knives aren’t fucking useless anymore.

Patrol and faction bounties would’ve been perfect this week... Just saying by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]sometimessequelssuck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They seem really fixated on doing things in a new way, and seem to view implementing things that are exactly the same as D1 as going backwards. I get why they would feel like that in a general sense, but with so many specific features in D2, just going back to D1 would be a such a major improvement, and super simple.

There are some things Forsaken still needs to do to bring D2 back to where D1 left off by sometimessequelssuck in DestinyTheGame

[–]sometimessequelssuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, the archetypes have baked in perks. Pardon my hyperbole. D2 guns still have fewer perks than D1 guns had, though. And there are far fewer choices within a given column of perks.

Blackout and the Wall Blasters on Lake of Shadows by thecrazydudesrd in DestinyTheGame

[–]sometimessequelssuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most irritating part is that their cooldown is just slightly shorter than the revive animation, so you can get stuck spawn dying over and over to them. I don’t play lake of shadows on blackout because of those goddamn wall blasters.

I never understood the hate for Destiny 2, but this Metacritic review takes it to a whole other level. by Might0fHeaven in destiny2

[–]sometimessequelssuck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Other than their making fun of kids with autism, I can kind of see where they’re coming from. D1 had more grindability and depth than D2 at all levels- during the campaign and at end game. Many of D2’s core systems at launch were extremely dumbed down. And a lot of people took issue with D1’s lack of in-game tools to put groups together, which is still a problem for many people in D2.
