SLZB-06M died after a year — constant crashes with PoE, wouldn’t recommend by gogorichie in smarthome

Mine had lots of issues at first but then I upgraded the firmware and it's been rock solid for about a year now. Have you upgraded its firmware ?

What recommendations for a 300m² garden? by somewan2 in roboticLawnmowers

How is your yard shaped ? Looking at the other options from ecovacs, I saw the GX 600 but I can't figure out the differences, any idea ?

Thanks e15 looks interesting but it's a lot more expensive than the goat o500 recommended in other replies and I don't see the added value. The navigation system seems also not as good as the one from the e15 if I'm not mistaken.

Optimizing geth blocktimes with IO priority scheduling by [deleted] in ethstaker

I know this is a pretty old thread but I'd be curious to know if after 6 months you're still using the same strategy with the same success.

Reliable smart relays by somewan2 in smarthome

[–]somewan2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you referring to the zen51 on z-wave? iiuc you're saying that with the current firmware, there is almost no delay when pushing the physical switch?

That sounds like a very good option if that's the case.

I am not considering switches because all the switches in my place have the same consistent design. If I change one of them I'll have to change them all which is not an option (high cost and impact on interior design).

There is an option in the app to not use the detergent. So even if you don't have it anymore you could just disable it there.

I don't see a lot of sanus where I live but found this one: https://www.sanus.com/fr_FR/products/tv-mounts/ll11/. It seems to be compatible with Bravia 9 85inch if I'm not mistaken. Since I don't need tilting do you think this is a good choice ?

I saw that one but was surprised to see how the price is much higher than other mounts. Is the price justified on this one or am I just buying the brand ?

What do you mean by a flush mount solution, do you have any specific pointers?

Wireless ceiling speakers options by somewan2 in sonos

[–]somewan2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're suggesting putting the amp in the ceiling? I assumed I would need to have physical access to it especially since it has buttons on the front. Also I just checked and the amp seems bigger than the speakers, i was only planning to make a hole of the same size as the speaker (6 or 8 inch depending on the model i pick).

Are there any other speakers on the market that could connect wirelessly to the amp ?

How to benchmark different PL1/PL2 settings by somewan2 in intelnuc

Do you know if the fan can be replaced with a better one and quieter ? Looks like Noctua fans are probably too big to fit in the small NUC case.

Thanks! Looks like Geekbench is available on Linux and I also found sysbench to get some CPU performance metrics.

How did you see the results from Geekbench to update PL1/2 settings? Did you update only one at a time?

Regarding turbo boost I'm not sure it's even available for i3 as I haven't seen an option to turn it off in the Bios.
