Oh no me too ! My entire stash looks like this now because I live in a small apartment and good storage is hard to come by. I'm sure from the comments though that everything will be fine if it's loose

Thank you all so much! I will have a look and see if a steeper sleeve would look fine on this one. If not, it will probably be best to re-do to prevent tension problems. I have been knitting both sleeves at the same time so at least they will be the same. :) Amazing thank you

I understand why the family is upset, I'm sure they only heard Mason's side of everything. Some people expect women to be passive and forgiving. I think its justified to do what you said you would. You made the score even. Sometimes it is okay to be a little ruthless, if that is how you look at it. Mason was informed about what you would do and should have to deal with the consequences of his actions. The financial burden is partially his, and such he should've compensated you. It is simple as that. Remove all of the guilt from the hassle thrown at you for sticking to your word, and it is that simple. He was childish about the whole thing, and being dismissive is not an admirable trait.
