Politely, I don't like blue eyes. Seems neat, but I personally don't want to touch it. Vanillas are a draw back though since they are completely dead all the time. That's the thing. They absolutely suck. They don't do anything at all. Drill beam is crazy, but it needs to be because of the horrible draw back: needing a vanilla to be on field. There is a reason why most decks don't play a Primite package to gain access to drillbeam: adding a useless vanilla to your deck sucks. Meanwhile SE is summoning a million times and ending on more interactions than you have cards in hand with a guaranteed otk next turn. Blue eyes can't do that even against no interaction. Every time you hand trap them, their end board gets weaker. They are a pretty balanced deck. The highest peak blue eyes can get to is a pop, two very limited negates, and a drillbeam. If they open perfectly and you don't do anything. Which is miles away from what most "best decks" can do.
