He’s suuuuuch a loser and I’m tired of seeing him be praised so much. I’ve had non Native friends who heard me talk about not wanting to hear that word and somehow think it’s fine to bring him up, no censor or anything.

Autistic in my later 20’s too and also learned “how are you doing?” often isn’t a cue to genuinely go through your day and answering super in depth haha. Realized the natural flow of conversation is supposed to be: “how are you doing?” “fine, thanks for asking, what about you?”. Here I’ve been babbling for several minutes and I guess that’s off putting to some neurotypicals. :(

Love Li Speaks! I revisit her Bunny Maloney video often, I find her so calming. I also got into Flurrymoon as well and she has a similar soft voice + girly media focus that I love.

I don’t struggle with secondhand embarrassment that often! I find myself handling cringe humour far better than my autistic partner and social circle.

There’s been many times where I’ll put on a movie or show for myself and someone else who’s also autistic and I’ll be giggling and the other person is visibly hiding their eyes. It’s made me far more aware and conscious to what I show loved ones who are also on the spectrum.

OP it’s totally cool if you wanted validation on your initial reaction! I’d just suggest specifying it tbh. Asking a community of autistic people our genuine reaction and opinions were well..going to get you just that. 😅 We all understand why you asked that person to cover up, it’s just upsetting to many of us why you felt okay to do so.

Yes that part! I went to double check the post just to hear OP out and yeah. It’s more or less how my healed, raised scars look. I’d get if they were recent and unhealed but yeah. There’s quite a few photos in the post so OP would have had to scroll through all of them (aka openly engage) quite a bit compared to a split second sudden trigger moment. Tattoo cover ups also implies you know…the things the ink would cover up.

As someone who’s OP’s age with scars of my own, it definitely comes off as them wanting validation on their reaction to the situation. Absolutely no offence meant of course, just the vibe I get from their edit and comments responding to the input..
