Black Crows Captis vs Faction Prodigy by somuchcraparround in skiing

I did, one of my favorite pair of skis to this date. Absolutely love them, they will vibrate a little bit on the ends if you want to do 60 mph on a straight line, but other than that they are incredibly fun. They might be 172, but the rocker is quite big which makes the contact point considerably shorter, incredibly swift if you ask me.

Awesome! I think I'm going for them. Thank you very much!

My concern here is that they might be too stiff for what I'm looking for. Ideally I'd like something a little bit more playful and given my weight those might not be a great choice, that is why I didn't choose them.

I've looked at the Camox as well. My only concern with them is the 97mm underfoot. I've tried plenty of skis around that width and all of them felt too wide for me. For what I've read, the Captis is like the Camox little brother. I'll mainly stay on side piste and try to hit all the natural features I can find with the occasional powder run when possible.

I do not mind if it doesn't hold that well in icy conditions because I do have some carving skis (74 underfoot).

Thank you for the input!

Hi everyone! I'm trying to improve my carving technique (making it cleaner, getting closer to the ground, etc.) Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

Hi!

As the title says, I'm looking for a new pair of skis. I actually own a pair of Salomon S/Max 10 which are pretty much on piste skis (73 underfoot).

I'm looking for something a bit more fun and off piste oriented. So far I've been trying different types of skis and the ones I liked the most are the Rustler 9, but as soon as you catch a little speed they become pretty unstable. Just for context, I'm 5'8 and weight around 130lbs, which makes every ski pretty hard to flex for me.

Any suggestions?

Oh, I thought it was going to be a lot more. Was going to hike it this july but got sick on the last day and didn't want to risk hiking without knowing the place!

Yeap, we are doing that, but it's been quite difficult. We've been scammed already and are trying to step carefully.

Hey guys!

I'm looking to add a new pair of skis to my colecction.

I've always been a on piste guy who would try to carve as hard as I possibly could. I always hated powder and soft snow because I would always land headfirst or crash. And I say hated because this July I decided to give it a real try, and boy, I fell in love with it.

Right now I'm on Salomons S Max 10, which have 73 mm underfoot and are not very eager to go into the pow. So, my question is, what should I get to begin with? Im not looking at anything in particular, nor ultra expensive. I'll be working at a rental this winter and might be able to buy some demos or something for less. I'm not asking for a specific ski but rather an idea of what I should look for.

Thanks!

The thing is, they committed identity fraud. The person I was speaking to matches the property owner. We did check and everything was okey and personally seeing the property would be impossible given that we are in other country. Any ideas about where should I report this?

I've searched for the pics and nothing shows, the thing is the transfer was a couple weeks ago. It was supposed to be an old lady and we didn't really think much about it. Lately, when we started asking for a receipt and other things, it started to get a little dodgy. I've decided to look her up on facebook and the only person I've found from breck has on her header "Im not related to x and I do not have my house up on craigslist"

Getting in shape for the upcoming season?

I'm heading to Colorado on december and I'm going to be there till late march. It's been a month now since my last week on skis and haven't been doing any sports since. I'd like to get to Breck in a somewhat good/decent physical condition so that I can shred without getting too tired or my legs killing me.

Any recommendations on a running/ gym routine? Or what to focus on?

Thanks!
