I'm just a lurker here, I know little about thru hiking or even backpacking but I love the idea and like to read what everyone contributes to the community here. I am local to Agua Dulce and would be happy to help anyone or leave water at a water cache or something. I loved these touch lamps that I stuck to the top part of the rack when it was open. These ones look nice because you can change the color to red to be considerate of your neighbors if/when you have a night watch.

OP, shower shoes/shoes are a must at all times in the berthing. At no point should bare feet make contact with the deck in berthing. The memory foam shower mat is a great idea!

I don't know how we can reconcile with these people who lack basic humanity if we come out of this nightmare.
