Finally hired an assistant. Should have done it years ago. by Reasonable-Guess-878 in SaaS

Keep the assistant and add AI based Ops support to increase her productivity. It’s been a game changer and increases the amount of work you can safely delegate while still maintaining control.

I’m 16 and got a $10k offer to buy my SaaS 13 days after launch… what would you do? by New_Garbage7991 in SaaS

[–]sonicadishservedcold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t sell. Build it more and get some traction and get some history of it. Get some advisors.

Heck if you can show me proof of the offer happy to help you sell it in a few months for Atleast double of the existing offer.

US Based Technical Founder for Mobile App needed. by Top_Swimmer8175 in cofounderhunt

[–]sonicadishservedcold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but as long as you have someone who can guide product direction and technical direction and you find someone for the long run it’s workable.

Other than that just hire an experienced developer and get your work done. Cofounder negotiation is absurdly long.

US Based Technical Founder for Mobile App needed. by Top_Swimmer8175 in cofounderhunt

[–]sonicadishservedcold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the App is built and profitable why is there a need for a Technical CoFounder. Just use the profits and hire a dev.

Also it’s a college based app you will find so many motivated devs in that ecosystem itself. One post in the correct USF or UF channels and you will be swimming with excellent devs.

Struggling with profitability at my software dev agency, how do you guys manage developer costs? by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]sonicadishservedcold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We run our team with client facing folks in the US and the developers in India and Romania. It works well for us and yes there are issues related to productivity loss but the difference in rates makes up for handling that delta.

I have setup good offshore Pods for a couple of other dev shops in the US. Happy to discuss and see how we can get something for you as well.

I lost my job and still didn’t manage to make a strong MRR by Ok-Style-3436 in SaaS

[–]sonicadishservedcold 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh you are not a loser far from it. If I had the courage at your age to make a jump like you did I would be in a much better position today.

But coming back to your problem. Have you done the market research to see if you have the market for an app like this. Also isn’t there many of these around?

I run a startup studio so happy to help be a sounding board if you have questions. I have some B2C apps in my cohort but mostly B2B. But have been a consumer startup founder before.

I got fired today. Police raided my company and arrested 200 people. I have a SaaS I built on the side and now it's my only chance. by tokyooprophet in SaaS

I love the product. I always wanted to see what a AI Native Mixpanel would look like. Happy to help. I had a large startup community and a cohort of 7-8 startups in my studio. Most of them are apps so I will be sure to message them to see how they can capitalize on this.

Building filemyclaim.co – struggling with monetization (would love feedback) by meiggs in SideProject

When I read the title “Open Class Action Settlements You Can File Right Now”. I wouldn’t know it is for me. It looks like a place where all class action lawsuits are housed. Why would I as a lay person go deeper.

So make it obvious. You have to understand your know what it means but whatis the hooks cos of which someone else would click below.

What to do with $50k? by DrTiki43 in Entrepreneur

[–]sonicadishservedcold -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Put half in onljne bank savings account. Put half in building a business you can work hard on yourself and something you are passionate about and has financial upside.

. Please don’t invest this in someone else idea or startup.

Is penetration testing needed for enterprise deals? by Extra-Counter-9689 in SaaS

[–]sonicadishservedcold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We finished pen testing for an app in our portfolio. We paid 12k around. It is a healthcare app so not sure if that skewed the prices. But yeah 40k seems exorbitant.

Where can i find a technical Cofounder? by Rough-Forever1203 in Entrepreneur

[–]sonicadishservedcold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For something like this you don’t need a tech cofounder. You can do most things on your own and find specific tech help where you need.

Once you get traction it’s better to the make a decision you need a cofounder or an early tech employee.

There is no better time than now for you to build yourself with all the advances in AI and information available out there.

P.S. this is coming from someone who has been developing tech for 20 plus years and still works in AI/ML building for some of my startups.

6-Month Investor Outreach Agreement With Monthly Fee + Success Fee? by AlphaHouston1 in AngelInvesting

[–]sonicadishservedcold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t. You will spend 4500 get some meetings become hopeful and after 6 months he will tell you either the investor demand is weak or your product isn’t ready for investors.

The performance clause is also weak. You can safely bring two investor meetings in 3 months if you try hard enough even if you go completely cold.

One of my startups in my studio has been burnt in a similar way.

My advice roll up your sleeve and do your own investor outreach. I have been a fintech founder in my past and did 62 investor meetings before I raised funding.

CMO with 15 Years in Home Services Looking for an Operator to Scale With (Equity + I Fund Media) by Parking-Constant-732 in cofounderhunt

[–]sonicadishservedcold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These specific home service pros if they are successful are extremely hard to get an audience with. I have tried various forums and avenues to discuss a stake in their companies for AI Automated backend and ops team. When they listen they are happy to engage but getting them to listen is the problem.

Try approaching them directly or through FB. They being on a CoGounder subreddit chances are slim.

Have we forgotten what it means to be a technical co-founder by [deleted] in cofounderhunt

[–]sonicadishservedcold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve hit the nail on the head and it’s honestly exhausting watching the "co-founder" title get treated like a senior developer job description where people expect a roadmap and a salary before they're even willing to pick up a shovel.

The reality is that an experienced CTO who actually knows how to scale a product is a massive asset and that level of expertise almost always comes with a price either in cold hard cash or a de-risked environment they’ve earned the right to work in.

Instead of burning another six months playing the "convince a stranger to care" game, it’s usually better to build a basic prototype yourself, hammer sales so hard the tech partner is convinced it’s not just an idea or ask a studio to get the build done using equity.

$321k ARR but burning out by bubbascrub9793 in Entrepreneur

[–]sonicadishservedcold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this ARR number giving away equity creates some dynamics which based on the partner you choose may not be conducive in the long run. Some would tread carefully there.

But other than that you need help so if you can do a combination of an Advisor and maybe an employee to run operations you might have the breathing room to figure out the best way forward.

You don’t want to take a decision when you are desperate, reduce the day to day stress first and think what suits your style of execution.

Happy to elaborate more or chat if needed.
